Do you know what it's like to be done? I know you're feeling me ladies 'cause a whole lot of you are done too!!!

...with having such a pretty face
...with dreading to fly anywhere 'cause the seat belt might not go all the way around.
...with trying to blend in with the crowd, knowing you can't blend when you yourself are as big as "the crowd"
...admiring those stilleto's but knowing "that's a broken ankle waiting to happen.
...dreaming you're a super-hero who can fly because you already have the giant wing-span!
...thanking and cursing the person who made spandex, suck-it-all in undergarments

Oh, and that's just the start.......not enough space on the entire internet for my list, but that's not important. What is important is that I'm done, done, done. And did I say, I'm done?

On June 9, 2009, my healthcare provider informed me that I was a pre-diabetic. After experience a number of other non-related issues I consulted another physician only to discover the diabetes was brought on by another condition, Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome. I'm actually relieved........I finally know what's been going on the past couple of years. I was told the best treatment of PCOS is a sound nutrition plan and exercise, so here I am.

My dad made the comment a couple of days ago, "Nesie, how many diets have you been on only to quit." The comment didn't upset me, because he is right. But this is different, this is not a diet, this is me saving my life and I think I can! No, I know I can because I am done being the person who's waiting around for their health to fail.

My Goals:
1. To eliminate the PCOS and pre-diabetes so I can get off the medication and be healthy.
2. Achieve a healthy weight, which for me is "major" as I don't know what a healthy weight is. I've been fat all my life, hopefully I'll know it when I get there!
3. Feel attractive in my own skin. I love myself and this body God has given me, but I don't like to look at it. I disgust myself.
4. Finish a 5k. I'm accomplishing more and more physically everyday. Some day soon I'm going to do it!

My Program:
Calories: 1,200-1,500 (usually around 1,200)
Carbs: 50% of daily intake
Protein: 30% of daily intake
Fat: 20% of daily intake

Exercise: As much as I can reasonably fit into my schedule.
Cardio: 45-60 minutes per day (currently doing the treadmill - 3.4 mph @ 5% incline)
Strength: Various circuit machines doing 20-30 minutes per day, alternating between upper and lower body

I'm from South Carolina and work for a Community Healthcare Center as its HR Recruiter/Training Coordinator. Love my job!!

I'm 42 and have been married for 22 years. We have a daughter 22 years old.

Other Information:
Looking for a buddy - someone with similar goals and someone I can count on to keep me motivated!
