We must have the same parents. lol Mine love buffets as well. However, if they're specifically going out with me, they will always ask first: "where can you eat?" Okay, well, my dad still doesn't "get it," but fortunately, Mom does. Most buffets have a decent salad area (except the few Chinese buffets I've been to). Nevertheless, I still have the mentality that I paid for a buffet, I need to eat the buffet. Yet, I could go out to another restaurant, pay the same amount, and not have the "pressure." How weird is that? And dessert? What's up with that? I never order dessert when I go out, why do I think I NEED to have it at a buffet? Crazy. Good luck! Make a game plan and stick to it! emoticon

Hi! Thanks for stopping by my blog. It is always good to know one is not alone in the numbers game. lol I too have bad knees and have to be careful. I follow the C25K program to the letter. Even if there's a day I think I could run a few extra cycles, I don't. I can't risk injuring myself and putting myself out of commision (almost all of the women in my family have had knee replacements and none were as active as I have been throughout my life--so that's either good in the sense that I have stronger bones, or I'm doomed--lol). Plus, if I'm out of commision, I'll fall back into my dastardly eating habits. I also currently run on a treadmill which lessens the impact (plus at about 110 outside--I'm NOT running outside), and I run lightly. I think I might look like a lopsided gazelle springing around, but I want to keep impact light. emoticon When you start C25K, let me know, I'll be your cheerleader (minus the acrobatics and the little outfit). emoticon Best wishes!! I'm going to add you as a friend. Hope that's okay.
