I am back at last. Its October 2013
Its an eventful year so far.
At the beginning of the year, I had put on 12lbs. Put on more since that.
But my bust size has remained the same and my hip size.
Waist went up though! Yuk!
Now its Autumn and I am beginning to lose again at last.
Been very busy, gardening, GD minding and my son came to stay.
My son has gone back to UNI. My GD has started school.
Busy knitting again and exercising, but not as much as I was.
Looking forward to being with my friends again.

My Goals:
Goal 1
I need to lose weight .
Goal 2
I need to keep exercising to keep my blood sugar good!
Goal 3
Return to what I was doing when I first joined Spark People. ie: Exercise early in the day.
Do Strength training, aerobics and yoga and walk every day
Goal 4
I have reduced my cholesterol and have a good ratio. Continue to maintain this.
Goal 5
My blood pressure is up!
I must get my heart rate up every day and keep my salt low. I do not need any more stress this year LOL! LOL!
Goal 6
I will keep exercising, strength training, weight lifting, walking, hiking and gardening.
Goal 7
I will strive to track my nutrition & exercise every day
Goal 8
I am doing more things for me this year, art, craft & bobbin lace.
Goal 9
Get 8 hours sleep a night

My Program:
October 2013
Return after a long spark holiday.
Note: I did not close my page as I wanted to come back.

January 2013
I have joined the Winter 5% challenge and hope to lose 7lb which is 5% of my present weight.

I am sticking with the Mediterranean diet, but emphasizing more vegetarian food. I eat wholemeal wherever possible. Rape seed oil does not agree with me and its in just about everything that is ready made even Pesto! So I need to make more of my own food and bread with EVOO
I exercise every day, yoga, walk/run, aerobics, dancing with Strength training at least 3 times a week. Weight training, Ball exercises , Hula hoop, Kettlebell, 3lb Medicine ball with DH.
Use the Free Gym.
Hike at least once a week.
Gardening, my passion! Grow more vegetables and fruit!
Maintain the house and decorate. I am into DIY!

December 2010
I joined the 5% winter challenge team.
Feb 18th 2011
I have now lost over 3 stone

......you add sodium to your tracker from your nutrition page, above your glass of water there is a button that says change nutrition goals. Once that opens you will see a list of things you can choose to track, the info key will give you a brief overview for that particular nutrient and you can edit after you decide on a range.. also there is a button below the list that has additional things such as calcium and stuff that you can also track depending on your needs. If there is anything else you need to know or just want to chat you can msg or email me. I llok forward to getting to know you better as we travel this road to better health, Sheryl

Hi! Thanks very much for stopping by my blog! I appreciate your comment. It is REALLY difficult when the significant other does not support our weight loss effort. I had a heart-to-heart with mine and now he is not going to bring "those" foods into the house. Still we can't force anyone to get on board with us, can we? The best we can do sometimes is set a good example, which is hard to do!

Stop by anytime, I'm glad you are enjoying Sparking! Kathleen

Hello Ellen and a belated Welcome to Spark... Congratilations on your loss so far.. If you haven't already done it I would recommend joining a few teams... making friends is a great way to stay motivated and supported. Beyond that I would just use your trackers daily and remember to track your sodium.
Under the "My Tools" tab you will see a link for Sparkpoints, doing the things you can to get your points daily will help keep you active and learning and the more you are here the more connected and invested you will feel. If there is anything I can do to help you Plz feel free to come by my page and msg me, or if you'd like to be friends you can read my blogs and see if you'd like to add me.... Best of luck to you on this new journey, Sheryl
