Back to sparking! I've tracked randomly here and there the last two years, now I'm back at it full-time and more than ready to she'd the last 11lbs that have stubbornly stuck around since my youngest was born almost 4y ago! February 2015: At this point I have two girlies, a 3yo and a 13mo old. I haven't been exercising. Period. Not, I haven't been exercising regularly, I just haven't been. I still have 10lbs of baby weight I'd like to lose (from the second pregnancy, then I have the four I never lost from the first, lol). But more importantly, I FEEL yucky. I don't want to get up and go, I don't want to play with the kids and push them on their cars around the house. I feel tired and BLAH. So I kicking my butt back into gear. I'm following the ChaLean Extreme program again and on day 5 of the month, I've hit all 5 goals :). Full steam ahead! Update: DD #2 arrived 12/31/13, just shy of being a new year's baby. We're both doing well, her sister is adjusting wonderfully and I've learned with the Spark my DH got me for Christmas that I can get in about a mile a day just chasing the two yo and going back and forth changing diapers, trying to potty-train, etc. ;)! Wow; it's been forever since I've updated my page! November 2013: Currently I'm just tracking nutrition as Baby #2 should make her appearance in a relatively short time and I am unable to exercise anymore due to some issues. My biggest concern is how in the world am I going to find time to exercise with both a newborn AND a two-year-old??? It was hard enough with the first one! Not to mention throwing in the two jobs, lol. The good news...my weight gain has not been as horrible as it was the first time around :D So it should come off a bit quicker once this little one comes. Bad news? Double jogging strollers are EXPENSIVE; looks like my running days are over for awhile.

My Goals:
1) Continue with cardio and strength training to tone my body and continue to feel great!
4) Run in 2-3 races each year:
May 16, 09: CNY Susan G Komen 5K- 26:55
9/11/10: ARC 5K- 29:01
10/3/10: SFoR 5K- 27:31

My Program:
Well, no program anymore, lol. Grabbing exercise in 20minute increments when the baby is napping, and taking her for walks on nice days, hiking with her in a baby carrier, and once she can sit up a bit better, we'll get a jogging stroller.
I'd love to do some more 5K's, then work my way up to that 1/2 marathon I had been talking about before I injured my hip in 2010.

I AM BACK. I bought a Spark tracker about a week ago and I am getting motivated again. I have maintained my weight around 240-245 for the last 5 years. My health is good. How are you doing and how is your child? Your Spark friend, emoticon Bob

    Hi Heather,
Thanks for the comment about my SP points on the Bonus Wheel.
It has been over 4 years since we have bee SP friends. Time flies doesn't it.
This is my birthday month and I will turn 73 on the 21st. My wife and I have been blessed with good health. We have enjoyed our retirement since 2001.
We are looking forward to our 30th anniversary this year on August 6th.

I used to call you "SUPERGIRL" but now its

    It's a bird, it's a plane, Its----------"SUPERMOM"

Congratulations!!! I didn't even know... I've been MIA for so long. I am the last person to ask about fitting in workouts. It took me FOREVER to figure that out! He didn't start sleeping really well and consistently until 14 months, so it was a lot of sporadic runs with the jogging stroller or long walks on the weekends. My husband and I recently started getting up at 5:15am to work out. I have never in my life been a morning workout person, but it's the only place we can fit it in. We do videos in our basement (P90X) while the baby sleeps. I just could not get to this point while he wasn't sleeping well. I needed all I could get of my own sleep. Give yourself time and do what you can, when you can... but don't worry about it too much. Your baby is still so small and everything will come together down the road. Hang in there! Congrats again!

Thank you so much for your kind words and for your support.Congratulations on your baby news!! That's awesome!

I get a training plan and think, Oh I *can* do more, go further, run faster.....and then here comes the pain. I take a few weeks off, I moan and groan, I start over and then I'm back where I started.

I *have* to trust the training plan rather than my thoughts of how slow I am and how much faster I can go. Can and Should are two things I need to discard from my thoughts!

In yet another article I read this week it said folks like me should take extra days off. So my run weeks should look like this:

    Monday, Thursday, Sunday
    Wednesday, Saturday, Tuesday
    Friday, Monday, Thursday
30 minutes max - eventually I can add milage but not until I'm doing this comfortably and without pain.

I'll do this and ride my bike and use the elliptical until I can run again. Running is a lifetime sport....I have a lifetime to do it! :D
