Hello fellow Sparkers. I hope you are doing well on your lifestyle change. I am here to join you once again to get my body to a more healthy state. I'm tired, and don't feel like moving most of the time, and hungry all the time. When I do move, my joints or my back aches. My favorite place to be is on my couch and it is becoming more and more difficult to get up off of it. I know that this is my downfall as I have already started having lifestyle related health problems. I work as a nurse and teach others why they shouldn't do what I am doing. I am very unhappy with my hypocrisy and want to change. Today I am on Sparkpeople and figuring out how to make that change. I hope with all my heart that I can do what needs to be done and am relieved to know that other Sparkers will be there for me and also hope that I can be there for you.

    Hi Marie,
First off the new photos show just how hard you've worked at living a healthy lifestyle- you look emoticon
Sorry to hear about the health issues but better news on knowing you are getting them taken care of. As for the new business, I agree it was for the better you didn't invest if its not truly something you'd love to do.

I started working at CVS about 1 month ago and took it up as a part time job since I've been going stir crazy despite still being active with school volunteering. Happy to report I've been a licensed driver now for over 1 year! emoticon

My main thing is keeping myself going, remaining an active parent and doing what I can in the schools, working, and finding a balance in it all since I do like being busy. Plus I am aiming on earning airline fare for Daniel and me to see my folks during his spring break since they no longer travel and are having health issues- time for me to do the travelling. I am thankful for finally facing my fear over driving and getting my license since it has been very handy for the family and now my husband is starting to face minor to serious health issues so I can be the transportation if need be.

I agree with the health challenge- for me its about balancing my time first. I have started my shopping, got my Christmas cards already just need stamps and to print out the family newsletter to insert in each envelope. I am still waiting to hear about a job interview for becoming a substitute teacher- but honestly I am enjoying working at the store and volunteering in the schools when I can. So if that doesn't pan out with the substitute job I am still remaining around the kids who boost me up.

Daniel is hopefully on the mend and will be in school tomorrow. Now we are trying to figure out what he should be for Halloween, he is thinking a glow in the dark stick man! emoticon Time for me to look for supplies and get creative.

I came across the following quote while "googling around" the internet a few days ago and think it's message is so important that I want to share it with my friends!
    Sheila

"All of life is a journey; which paths we take, what we look back on, and what we look forward to is up to us. We determine our destination, what kind of road we will take to get there, and how happy we are when we get there." From A Little Book of Happiness
