Turning my unhappily hefty state into a happily healthy way of life! Every day is a constant mindful challenge to make the healthy choices and follow through on goals I have set for myself. Mini goals, weekly goals, goals that I can attain and be proud of with each little step. (I think we all focus on the big picture so much that we forget to embrace the babystep successes along the way, which creates a frustration resulting in giving up or backsliding). I've realized after several self-hating and healthy-habit cycles of attempting change that it was only ME letting my own self down each time. I am responsible for my way of living. The fault resides within my choices. I've come to terms that I love myself too much to let myself fall again. So, I have started my own journey called #Jess300days which is #300DaysOfExercise based on Betty Rocker's guidance through online exercise videos that require only 15 minutes of your day. (You can follow my progress in my blog or via Instagram). - 1st 30 Days of #MakeFatCryChallenge completed! - 2nd 90 Days of #90DayChallenge beginner level (in progress) - 3rd 90 Days of #90DayChallenge intermediate level (NOT started). - 4th 90 Days of #90DayChallenge advanced level (NOT started). *Betty Rocker is an amazing selfless nutrionist and physical trainer who wants people to realize self-care and self-worth are about feeling good in the world. The appearance benefits are just a byproduct of a healthy life. So, she created the that is one 15 minute video a day for 30 days - it is 100% free and empowers you to feel your body become stronger while seeing it transform to a more fit version of yourself. I am not paid for promoting her - I just strongly believe in her positivity and knowledge for health. Check it out if you know you're awful at finding time to work out or have troubles staying committed. It helped me so much! I am working on a healthy relationship with food, and a consistent daily exercise regime. I want to feel like ME again. I do not FEEL the same way I look; I still act and think I can do things as if I am fit and a smaller mass size. THEN, I look in the mirror and reality sinks in that I am larger (it is body dysmorphia of sorts). That needs to change. I tell my students: "If you believe it, you can achieve it," so I've decided I truly need to be a role model of my own words. I can do this. I AM DOING IT. I am a wife, a friend, a teacher, an artist, a photographer, and a furbaby momma. I love laughing, creating, humanity, nature's beauty, and believing in the GOOD of everything and everyone, every day. I wish everyone the courage to empower themselves and be the leader of the life they truly want to live. It's all in our control. We just have to dig deep enough to remember that we are worth it.

    Are you interested in a Challenge?

    The Biggest Loser goes for 10 weeks. It consists of 10 teams participating in weekly Fitness and Nutrition challenges. The Spring challenge will be getting started the beginning of March. It consists of fitness and nutrition challenges that are often in a form of a game. If for some reason you cannot do a challenge then they are modified to meet your needs. Often we do the challenge in a game form, we have BINGO and TIC TAC TOE or seasonally themed. For Winter we had Help Santa Fill His Sleigh, Run Rudolf Run and Super Bowl. If you decide this might be for you you can leave your name on the waitlist for the Spring challenge.     Hi! thanks for the encouraging words! I'm off to a good start this week! Planned the activities for the month with my program participants at work (they came up with the ideas so now they will will have things to do when they're not working that they suggested!) and tomorrow, I will book the Metro Access ride for Thursday's outing to the College Park Bowling Lanes! emoticon

    BTW, you do look pretty and happy in the photo on the top of your page!
