My story is always evolving and ever changing. I've been in China now for the last year and have developed so many more healthy eating habits. Quit eating sugars and processed foods. I exercise a lot now! Feeling much more confident and accepting of my body. Of course its been a super long road...

A long time ago:

teaching+graduate school= big ol' booty

I gained about 40 pounds while in grad school. I was teaching part-time and working on my Master's full-time. I was also eating cheeseburgers and chocolates full-time. I'd top it off with a weekend full of beer and wine and voila! I suddenly found a super-sized version of myself!

I remember the worst point being when I got so big that none of my pants fit anymore. I was wearing my sweats to work like twice a week. They all knew damn well I wasn't wearing them because I was jogging. I was just bustin out of all my pants!

And as funny as I tried to be about my weight, I hated it. And I felt embarrassed when my shirt came up a little and showed my stomach fat. And I felt guilty when I ate around other people. I was constantly beating myself up for what I was but knew I should be.

I knew that I could live a poor quality life always wishing for better but settling for instant gratification or I could change. I'm in charge of the story of my life.

My Goals:
Started spark in January of 2008. I lost 20 pounds and have been able to keep it off. I moved to San Francisco, lost touch with my goals for awhile and got my spark back. Now I'm in China surrounded by tiny women and ready to get toned.

January 2008- 172
January 2010- 150
March 2010- 147.5
October 2010- 140.5
May 2013- 144

My Program:
Drink 8 glasses of H20
Eat 6 servings of veggies/ fruit
No breads, pasta, rice, sugar, etc. Carbs only from veggies and limited fruits.
Weight training 3x a week.
Sprinting 3x a week.
Yoga 1x a week.

Short term goal: 10 pounds

Well really 5 foot 4 and 3 quarters but I dont know how to write that without looking like an idiot. lol
