I'm not perfect, but I give some pretty good support and help others to fulfill their potential...its my job, its what people count on me for...but its also a big stressor in my life because I know I am not living as full and free as I could because I am obese.

I am often reminded of what my mentors have said: "You can only take a person (in therapy) as far as you have gone yourself." I know I am more stable and balanced than alot of my clients, but I also do not feel truly authentic in my work or personal life, being trapped in this body and lifestyle patterns.

I'm here to reconcile that. Wish me luck, as I learn to follow the wisdom and hope I work to instill in others. This isnt my first time around the SP block...I'm still standing...and ready to keep trying!

My Goals:
Radical Acceptance and Health!

My Program:
I am using the Eat to Live (E2L) program for food, elminating most processed foods including meat and dairy, focusing on raw whole food that comes from the earth.

I am also learning to love my body as it is now (and with every stage) through yoga and a beginning meditation practice.

Personal Information:
Jenny from Dallas area--I am a wife of 12 years to Wil, a "Crid" parent to a chihuahua and chiweenie. I am a proud aunt as well and love seeing the world through the eyes of kiddos! I work as a LCSW (therapist) with children and families.

Other Information:
I'm 90% vegetarian for the last several years, which has been an interesting leap of faith, of learning to put "trust in the process" as I transition from a support system of meat eaters... but I feel good doing it. I have recently committed my self to eating only plant based foods for the next few months.
