My name is Ginger, I''m a mom to 2 girls. Since having my girls I''ve gained alot of weight and now it''s time to take it all off!!! I now work full time and my girls are in school full time as well. May 2010 Update~ So I haven''t been around SP for awhile. I have been on WW''s now since January 2010. I have since lost some weight...not alot to make a huge change or anything. I have come back to SP to continue my journey once and for all. June 2010 Update~ Things are still going pretty well. I am tracking my calorie intake and working out. I did stop WW''s in May because I have SP and I can and WILL DO THIS!!! My jeans are actually fitting looser and I have noticed that my legs have thinned out quite a bit too. I should really take measurements to keep track of the inches lost as well. July 2010 Update~ I am starting over pretty much from square one. I need to get my exercising in and my eating habits back to where they were. I can do this, I will do this. I''m a DONE girl!!! September 2010~ Now that the girls are back in school I am going to get my routine and eating habits layed back down the way they were. I am a person of ROUTINE and need to have that in my life. I was given the opportunity to work during the day. I have worked nights for 2 years now. While I am excited for this change, I do not do well with all! I am looking forward to being able to spend time with my husband and 2 girls. I will be able to go to the gym some days during the day & night (if I choose) and then other days at night. Our Y is now offering nightly zumba. For that I am STOKED!!! I now weigh more than I ever have but once again I will take it off. I just have to keep focused and look towards the end results that I want! October 2010 Update~ I have started training for my first ever race. I will be running my first 5K November 7, 2010. I am very excited to be able to run. Running has always been so daunting to me but now I can see the light at the end of the tunnel. November 2010 Update~ I''m still hanging in there, I''ve been training for my 5K and things have been going very well. November 7, 2010 Update~ I ran my 5K today and did well. My gun time was 34:21, Chip time: 32:18 and pace: 10:24. I Rocked that race! =) December 2010 Update~There is nothing really new to report. I''ve been having a really hard time losing weight despite my efforts of working out and eating healthy. Christmas is right around the corner so we''ve been busy with getting Birthday party stuff together (Madalyn will be 5 Dec. 19th), and just the general busyness of the holiday season. January 2011 Update~ I am committing to weight watchers again this year (I was on ww''s for 5 months last year and then fell off the wagon) and told myself I could do this on my own. I was wrong I NEED the accountability of a program to follow. I honestly don''t have any real support here at home so I rely heavily on my spark people friends/community and fitblr community. You guys are my rock! February 2011 Update~ My eating and my workouts have been coming alot easier. I am running alot more than I was and have been really enjoying this journey so far. Yes, it''s very hard but with dedication and hard work it will pay off in the end. -) March-August 2011 Update~ My weight loss has slowed down and so has my exercise. I was training for a half marathon and my shins were just giving me horrid trouble. Shin splints are HORRIBLE! I went to the physical therapist in May and he told me that I had to lay off running for a good month. After that month I started off slowly....very slowly. I tried running again but every time I tried running my shins would just kill. Summer then came and we were busy. The girls were sick for 11 full weeks. Madalyn had strep throat 5 times and Morgan had strep throat twice and then she had an ear infection and sinus infection. There was no way that I could actually get any time to work out in. =( I have not been counting calories whatsoever since late March/April so honestly I''m not surprised I gained 18 pounds since mid-late March. September 2011 Update~ The girls both started school (Morgan is in 2nd grade already and Madalyn started kindergarten). So what does that mean for me? I can now try and get my workouts all figured out and my eating back on track. Tuesday 9/6/11 I will go to my first CrossFit experience. I can''t wait to get in the box! WOOT!! October 2011 Update~ I''m still going to Crossfit and LOVE it! Things are starting to pick up at work. I''m hoping that I will still be able to work out as much as possible. November 2011 Update~ I was told that I needed to put my pt job above everything else and be there more. So at the moment everything else is having to be put to the back burner. :( December 2011 Update~ I haven''t really exercised or anything since going to CrossFit last at the end of October. I''m hoping that at the beginning of the year I will be able to focus on my health and myself again. January 2012 Update~ I am back on Sparkpeople alot more than I have been over the last several months. I have recommitted myself to more exercise and eating better. I am also going to join a few challenges on my sparkteams! We shall see how this month plays out. I''m excited for the New Year and the new me! :) January 2013 Update~ Well, it''s been one whole year since I''ve pretty much updated on SP. For the past 9 months my life has been in a whirlwind. I am now going through a divorce and have my girls 50/50. So to say the least I did not have a good year in 2012. I however have lost 30 pounds and am continuing to lose weight. I am still running/walking, attending crossfit when I can. My girls are happy and so am I. just continuing to push thru to the next day. September 2015 update ~ Well, it''s about time I come back to SP! I haven''t been around in a long time. I''ve recommitted to working out, getting healthy and showing my girls how to live a healthy lifestyle. So here goes! 😊
