Some days I feel like the luckiest person in the world.
I try to live every day in gratitude
for my life as it is TODAY,
right now,
in this very moment.
I'm retired at 69 and still paying my bills (barely).
I've been married forever (FIFTY TWO YEARS!)
to the man of my dreams (most days),
my high school sweetheart.
My 3 children are all grown,
as happy and as healthy as I could make them.
(So sad to add that my dear younger son, Patrick, 50, father of my three grands, died in November 2020 after battling colon cancer for four years.)
I finally became a grammy in 2009!
Now we have three little darlings.

I just sold my beautiful second home on the sweet island of Anguilla and moved from a little condo back to a three bedroom house (up-sized!)

I LOVE to exercise and meditate.
I also love to eat and drink!
Time to get rid of these extra 50 pounds that have crept up on me in the last 20 -30 years of living the good life.

5/16 -0 (after 2 weeks of increased calories)

5/31 -0 down 3lbs for May, 18 altogether

6/21 ***+2 (but SO worth it!)
6/27 ***-2 (easy come, easy go)

I ended up down 2 for Sept- up 3 for Oct-
recommitting for November.
November- who the heck knows?

Jan -March/10- same!
April- yahoo!!! increased calories- down 2 pounds!
update- it's Oct-2010- on a one year plateau but not giving up- never, ever, ever. Every month I try something new.

ANOTHER NEW update- after maintaining 168 for SO long,
my weight crept up 1-2 lbs a month since I developed hip bursitis and I am now (June 2011)
hovering around 180.
9/1/2012 update- STILL hovering around 180...
9/1/2013 ....still 181...
Will I give up?
NEVER!
AGAIN...12/2014 ...182-4 most days
(How great t9 be able to look back!)
10/17. After starting LCHF last year I happily touched 170 a few times but then slacked off and gained 10 back in a year and am now back to 180 AGAIN!

    hi thanks for reading my blog anthony is still under six pounds, his oxygen is great and his lungs are fine. they fixed his heart valve which was diminishing his oxygen to his lungs .then he got an abscess on his arm that had the iv and that caused an infection in his stomach so that is cleared up now, he just needs to learn to eat again and if al goes well he may make it home Wednesday, thanks for reading my blog and enjoy your trip

    pasta salad is cold use any pasta you like . i add tomatoes cut small cukes, , green and yellow squash peppers onions all cut small, you can add any veggies you like raw and cut small, then add salad dressing Italian to your taste some parmesan and McCormick's salad seasoning, because of the tomatoes this taste better the longer you chill it. I put less dressing if I know ill have it for a few days. then just add more to a serving.. My sister in law adds olives . i suppose you could try some vinaigrette dressing may go well, i have seen one were they add salami and eggs, It is up to you, It a good way for us to use up the garden veggies and not to expensive to make Have a great week Hugs you can add broccoli and carrots but i dont as to hard to chew for hubby , emoticon
