    Yeah, I had a little light bulb moment that I need to start incorporating protein/recovery drinks or snacks DURING my long runs. -duh!- So I'm going to have a lot of pre-made drinks and snacks for my 14-mile run this weekend!

    Sounds like you're super busy, but all with fun kid-stuff--I'm so excited for summer! Even though I'll still be working, our nanny will have both kids all day and just knowing they'll be off and about having fun makes me happy! Not to mention we'll have lots of long weekends and vacation. Can't wait!

    Hope your taper week(s) are awesome and you're all set for the big race!!!

    When is your race? It's gotta be coming up! Just wanted to wish you luck in advance ;)

    Also, I did the sports drink thing during my long run on Friday--worked like a charm! I ran out in the last 2.5 miles, so just switched to H2O--too into my run to stop and mix it up--and likewise, started crashing. The last 2 miles were tough! Lesson learned again--mix up a LOT!!!

    Hey runner-friend. I'm looking for some advice. My training plan calls for 2 days of crosstraining. Not sure if I should be working my arms/back, do yoga, or if I should continue to do something aerobic to work on cardiovascular endurance. Thoughts?
