Maybe wishful thinking or camera angle/ distance, but I think my face looks smaller. Either way it makes me feel good!

Married 17 years, 3 children, turning 36 in 8 days. I have been over 200 lbs since 5th grade. I hit my highest 3 years ago- 320. I have lost 36 lbs with Lose It over 2 years (and gained almost all of it back when i quit), but I want to try something different. I have passed on my poor eating and exercise habits to my 2 daughters. My oldest is 17, 5'2 and 190 lbs. The other is 15, 5'10, and 315. I'm not only doing this for myself, I'm doing this for them too. I want to show them it's never too late to get healthy, but I also want them to see how much harder it is the older you get. I think my 15 year old sees that now as she has dropped 22 lbs in less than 2 months, and it has taken twice as long for me to drop the same amount. I want my daughters to grow up healthy, not necessarily skinny. We are big boned people- there will be no skinny for us. We fit in almost perfectly on my mamas side of the family- extremely large women, big and tall men. My dad's side of the family though- we are like a family of Cabbage Patch Dolls in the midst of a family of Barbie dolls- short, thin, beautiful women! I love them though- not one has denied knowing or being related to me! Some of them are awesome people! I have battled depression and anxiety since I was 3 years old- I have always had separation anxiety, mostly centered around my mama, and now she's gone, making it a thousand times worse. I'm also doing this so that doctors will take me seriously. I have stomach problems that I was BORN with, yet their solution is always to lose weight. I went with a kidney infection for MONTHS that almost ruptured my kidneys, because my doctor told me my weight was hurting my back. Thanks to an ER doctor, who looks at the symptoms and not the appearance of the patient, treated me in time. How I wish he had a private practice! In the end, though, I'm doing this for ME! I'm tired of pretending that I only wear t-shirts and jeans because I'm not "girly". I don't dress up because I feel like a pig wearing lipstick. I think back to my wedding day- I felt beautiful! But I pretended to be miserable because everyone was already asking "why don't you wear makeup/dress up/fix your hair more often? Youre gorgeous! " I WILL do it this time! I will let NOTHING stop me! I WILL NOT let anyone's negativity derail me! I WILL BE HEALTHY!
