(2007) Hey, my name is Ashley and I'm 19 years old. I am a 2005 graduate from a local school where I played soccer, softball, and was a cheerleader. Among sports I was also in many extracurricular school teams, was voted Senior class most spirited, and also graduated with Honors from the State. Since I've graduated and have gotten married, I've definately packed on some pounds that I need to get rid of and keep them gone. I want to feel great in anything that I grab out of my closet. My attire now usually consists of comfy pants or shorts and a t-shirt..which is most of the time covered up by a hoodie. I hate going out because I never have anything to wear that I feel confident in. Plus, I'm not going to spend a bunch of money on new clothes because I'm NOT going to be this size for long!!

(2009) Here's an update, I haven't been on here in nearly 2 years!! I'm not sure why I really quit logging on, I loved all the people I met and I loved how easy SparkPeople can be for those that need a constant motivator! I gained even more after I quit, I was at a disgusting 175 lbs. for my 5'4" frame! December of 2008 I figured I had enough and my mother and I joined Weight Watchers AGAIN! This is the 4th time I've started weight watchers, however, this time I'm not going to quit! I've learned that if you give up, you're going to give in, and that's what I've done every single time. I'll be adding some new pictures too! I have two new fur-babies! JD, the one that is in the pictures now with the cone on his head has been missing for a little over a year now : (

My Goals:
*To weigh between 120-130 lbs.

*To lose the weight I've gained in a healthy manner.

*To meet new friends with the same interest as me.

My Program:
I started out with Weight Watchers and my mother turned me to Spark People in 2007, however I didn't stick with it. My mother-in-law brought up SparkPeople and I figured why not give it a try again! Now I am kind of doing a mix of the two. I just recently began cycling and love the workout I get from it, I like doing DDR, Walk Away the Pounds, and using the Eliptical Trainer!

Oh, I love your beautiful big boy! What a sweet man. He looks so mellow and I love the pic with him in his cone. Oh, such sad eyes. My little girl just stopped using her cone over the weekend and she is glad to have it off after a week. Strangely enough, she did get used to wearing it but nearly took out our walls when she slammed into them racing around the house. Good luck with his recovery.

Thanks for the comment. I just woke up one morning (end of January) and realized I was just not so fit any more. I used to be on the dance team, volleyball team and softball team in HS ( I was reading your bio too) and I have gained so much then. Not to say I am not happy with myself. But I know I need to be healthy and to lose weight so I can enjoy everything outdoors like I used to. I have lost 26lbs so far! I think I am still in shock that I had that much to lose but I still need to lose more.
Basically I have not made any huge lifestyle change. Just little changes that have added up. I was exercising before. In fact I was doing kickboxing but I was not losing weight. So I realized I needed to exercise more often and to change my diet (eat less) though I was eating healthy and not tons of food I think I was eating more like my very fit husband who can afford to do so. Well anyway guess this is a very long comment!! Sorry. Lets keep in touch so we can motivate each other!!

    Jamie :-)
