Hi,

I am 70 and moved closer to family at the end of October. With the move and other stressors things have gotten way off track. SparkPeople to the rescue! Sadly it will be time for all of us to move on. I am grateful for all the support and friendships I have made here. I will miss that most of all. Let's go out with as much of those things as we can.

Fitness Minutes: 126,818

My Goals:
First I want to lose 10 pounds and get back to my pre quarantine weight. These last few months have been rough but I need to get it in gear. I have a larger weight loss goal but baby steps.
Spring 2021 Challenge saw me go further down the rabbit hole but I see the light ahead.


My Program:
Working on more strength training this time around. I say this every time I update.
No longer getting 10,000 steps because of chronic bursitis so I changed my goal so not to beat myself up about it.
I do Silver Sneakers, Pahla B Fitness and Leslie Sansone walks. It is amazing what having internet can do for finding things you didn't know existed. I will ride my recumbent bike as well. I am going to eat more whole foods, less packaged things.

I have developed some bad habit since moving and working on getting back on track.



Personal Information:
I have been on SparkPeople since 2006 and will always be a Firecracker although I am a Phoenix too. I am originally from Baltimore, MD and now back again after spending about 15 years in WV. My 2 children are grown, My daughter lives about 30 minutes away now and my son is in Texas. Have not been able to be with family much because of the virus, just waiting for this to pass as all things do. Still working through the loss of my husband, I think I buried a lot of feeling with food while getting our place ready to sell, packing up, moving and buying a new place. Thanks to a Spark Friend for telling me to take the time I need for me.

    Thanks for the comment on my feed. My outdoor garden areas have annuals in them now (there are tulips and daffodils in the spring). I also have two pots with chocolate mint in them.
    My sister gave me a birthday gift in March of 3 hydroponic garden jars, so now I have mint, basil and parsley growing in my kitchen.

    Thanks for the encouraging comments on my blog - yes I completely agree that mini breaks are necessary every now and then, and perhaps even helpful if done right. :) I'm working on building my morning workout habit (again). A big part of it is actually getting to bed the night before at a reasonable enough hour so that getting up in the morning isn't as difficult. So here I go again, Day 1 complete. :) Thanks for reading my blog. Have a great day.
