Hi all. My name is Sheri, I'm 50 years old (pooh), had a heart attack Nov 27, 2006 and am trying to lower my triglyceride levels and lose about 15 pounds. The cardiologist says more like 25 but I'm not so sure I can do that. I gave up smoking the day of the heart attack, I'm going through peri-menopause and now I'm trying to lose the extra weight that one of those 3 has added to my stomach and my butt! If anyone has any tips or hints please pass them on. And ladies, do take care of your heart!

I've been married to my childhood sweetheart for 32 years, have 3 super kids, 3 super grandkids, 1 pug, 1 dachshund and 3 cats. I'm from RI but live in the Southeast. Besides my family and pets my passion is knitting/yarn/collecting knitting books.

Fitness Minutes: 446

My Goals:
To make exercise a part of my day. To lose 15-20 pounds and to keep my heart healthy.

My Program:
I've been doing Leslie Sansone's Walk Away the Pounds DVD's and really enjoy them. My knees have been bothering me though, so I'm trying to do a few other things in between. Yesterday I did the Ab's with the exercise ball and that was fun.

Personal Information:
Married to a great guy for 32 years and we have 2 daughters and a son. We also have 2 granddaughters and 1 grandson. I'm from Rhode Island but live in the Southeast. I'm what you'd call a "Misplaced Yankee."

Other Information:
I'm obsessed with knitting, yarn and knitting books. I have a closet that is full of yarn. I also love to read and lately I've been reading heart and diet books.
