WELCOME TO MY SPARK PAGE~ :o). This has been a weight loss journey, I guess I enjoyed so much, just as many retake a most memorable vacation AGAIN, I am on this VOYAGE ONCE AGAIN! The best news of all, considering traveling isn't something I have ever enjoyed, and believe me in my childhood I was granted to oppertunity to go alllll over the world~ with weightloss, I DON'T EVEN NEED A PASSPORT, NOR DO I HAVE TO PACK SUIT CASES, OR EVEN LEAVE HOME! HOORAY FOR THAT!!!! HA! WINK!!!!!

If you go into my photos, you will see many weight loss success pics, and they are precious to me. Truly evidence that I HAD MADE IT, AND I KNOW I CAN DO IT AGAIN~ :o). This time though, it has to be done completely different. My relapse came following a sleep walking stair case fall in early June of 2010. To date 1/ 17/12, I am still in physical therapy~ with NO EXERCISE ALLOWED~(YET). It was attempted in P.T. several months back, and they realized it was causing further injury to my neck and spinal injuries sustained from my fall~ therefore it was removed. Back to massage therapy only. Sooooo~ this will be a long slow journey~ so very different than all of my weight loss voyages from the age of 12.

Learning to accept the changes that are life long from my accident, is a new part of my thought process, and the beginning of healing emotionally from within, in hopes that in the process my heavy heart will become lighter, AND MY BODY TOO~ :o).

Currently, size wise I look like my wedding photo~again. That was a beautiful day in 2005, and now in 2012....tis truly a blessing that God is a part of my EVERYDAY. He has not given up on me, and I MUST NOT GIVE UP ON MYSELF.

"ONE DAY AT A TIME~SWEET JESUS, THAT'S ALL I AM ASKING FROM YOU...."

***Awwww and one last ditto~ Heartwarming Thanks to all of you who have voted me as "motivational." I now have that extra special "motivational sparkmember logo" on my sparkpage. Soooo truly meaningful that is to me! THANK YOU WITH ALL MY HEART!!!! ****

My Goals:
1) LOADS OF PRAYERS FOR BODILY HEALING.

2) Positive thoughts~even through very high pain, and health regression happening faster than I ever imagined possible.

3) Beating the odds of what specialists are saying, and getting back to the point that I am able to walk and move, as I did prior to my accident.

My Program:
Currently my program is physical therapy several times a week.

Doctoring out of town, several times a week, and out of state every month.

Unfortunately none of this pertains to weight loss, but healing after my sleep walking accident in early June of 2010.

Weight loss is a voyage I am on once again. One day at a time~ healthy eating, and unfortunately without exercise as it isn't allowed yet due to neck and full spinal injuries.

Personal Information:
The light in my eyes comes from living my life for Our Heavenly Father.

Writing spiritual, uplifting poetry, has been one of my gifts granted, and discovered by the age of 10. It has gone beyond "hobby, and become one of my passions."

I treasure time with my daughter, who like me shares the light and love of the Lord, and also is a writer. Bless her heart she was published by the age of 13 years young, and continues to write every single day.

Lifting the hearts and spirits of others, is what I love most about being part of SparkPeople.

Other Information:
I am 41 years young, with two children. My Son is nearing 20, and my Daughter age 15.

God is in the center of heart and soul. He is my life. He is my salvation. He is my Glory, my hope, and truly the LOVE OF MY LIFE.

Hi Diane! Since you dropped by on my sparkpage, I thought I'd return the visit. So, lets sit down and have a cuppa. I appreciate all of your kind words and funny stories on the posts. As for help with writing, well, we're in somewhat of the same boat. I've had articles published, but haven't been able to build up the emotional strength to send out many of my poems yet. They're so intimate, you know? So when people criticise them, it feels like they're criticising your feelings, which no one has a right to do. So, I now focus on fiction, and it's moving along fine. Cross your fingers for me because I'll be sending a copy of my latest manuscript out to an editor who rejected my first manuscript, but said she loved my writing and would like to see more of it. That was last year, and there was no more of it to send, lol, but this year there is. She was promoted to head editor too, so it's amazing that she asked me to continue to send my work. Cross your fingers for me!

Writing.com is a cool site, have you checked it out yet? The vast majority of people there are kind and supportive, but there are some of the mean ones too who rate poems low just to bring your rating down...i.e., they'll rate a poem that's been rated "5" by say, 100 people, as a 1, with no reason given as to why. So you have to just ignore those people, and, like I said, most people are great. You can ask for help with your writing, constructive criticism, join contests, chat with other writers. It's a nice cite, and can be completely free if you keep your portfolio small. It's really nice to see all of your work in an online portfolio...it looks so professionally done. Also, you can share your work with your friends by sending them a link.

Another route is to choose some of your favorite poems and send them to magazines that by poems, usually in groups of 3 or more. There are also book publishers who publish books of poetry, but they tend to look toward people who've already had their work published in magazines. It still wouldn't hurt to go buy the 2007 Writer's Market...it lists all of the publications and outlines what they're looking for. You can buy the actual book or join online and access the info online.

Another route is to go with a Pay on demand publisher...or POD publisher. This is great if you want to have your work in book form, just for yourself and friends. You only pay for what you buy...1 book, 2 books, etc. Some companies, like LULU keep costs way down, so you can be published quickly without forking out a lot of cash. If you check out the Lulu site, you'll see what I mean. You can also sell your book on that site, in book form, e-book form, or both.

Chapbooks are also commonly used to showcase your work. You can google "chapbooks" and even find sites that tell you how to do it yourself. Usually chapbooks are made in series of 8 pages...you can go to 16, or 32...as long as it's divisable by 8. They're pretty cool and you can make your own if you have wordperfect and a scanner and printer, or you can do a mock up and bring it to one of those places that photocopy things for you.

One of the easiest ways to get published is to look at your community newspapers, church bulletins, things like that. Do they ever add poetry, and if not, would they be willing to add something like that? Another way, one a girl I new tried to get me to take, is to send the poetry to greeting card companies and have them made into greeting cards. Apparently there's quite a market for that, but I've been busy with the fiction and journalism and haven't had a chance to really check into it. If you do, let me know what you think.
Well, you're probably going to have to add extra memory to your comment page if I don't shut up, lol, so I'll talk to you soon, OK?

Take care Diane; have a GREAT day!
