Today is 12/12/12....this is an important date....we are done with the 10/10/10 03 11/11/11....this 12/12/12 is the last for this century! SO i decided am gonna start something good this day. So i am back on SP...i have no right to ask for anyone else to be here to support me or be my buddy....have come and gone too many times for that. So let me begin this journey alone...for now
May 2012
So 3 yrs have gone since my last update here!! a lot has changed in the last 3 yrs¡KI am now a single woman again after being married for 9 yrs and it took its emotional toll which of course had to manifest in weight gain. I was at my highest weight in June 2010 at 225lbs but by last year October I had managed to come down to 184lbs and then India happened!! Long story short I am back to 198lbs again. I started working out and am still working on my food intake. I still have to find that dedication I had last year but at least I am in a better place in my mind¡Kdoes that count? I guess it does!! It makes me happier and more focused.
So my goals for this week are
1. to work out at least 4 days a week and burn 1500 calories in total
2. stay within my calorie range for food
3. track my food and exercise everyday
4. Get in bed by 11 pm latest
5. Restrict added sugar intake
I am reaching out to my friends here to keep me accountable and motivated¡KI know I can depend on them ƒº

May 12th 2009
I had moderate success last year and i lost 24lbs in 8 months...nothing great but steady. then life took over and i lost my mojo for 3 months and gained 13 of the lost lbs and 25 inches!!! (whats with that!!...well some points to loyalty...the inches found their way home wahhh) Now again after much soul searching and realising its going to be a life long struggle I am ready to start again!! hopefully I am smarter and wiser this time around (hey I can only hope!!)
so here we go on this topsy turvy frustrating yet rewarding jourbey again....are you with me??
here are my daily goals

1. Wake up by 6:30 am
2. Have breakfast
3. Pranayam and Suryanamaskar (15 min)
4. Take multi-vitamin
5. Drink a cup of green tea
6. At least 1 serving of fruit
7. Stay within Calorie range
8. Exercise for 30 mins (cardio)
9. Moisturize & apply cream on feet
10. No eating after 9:30 pm
11. ST follow Scott Colby Video
12. Sleep by 11 pm
13. No refined sugar alternate with no fried food
14. Do any one video on weekends
15. Do the SP bootcamp video

this is my older life....last year 2008-2009..above is my new life as of NOW May 2009

Ending weight: 214

Total lost: 8 lbs (had gained 2 lbs in first week of April to reach 222 lbs)

May 30th: Goal-206 actual -213 .68...8 lbs over the goal weight!!

Entry on 28th Oct 2008. still at 204.4 lbs i seem to be losing and gaining the same 3-4 lbs for the past 45 days!! it has me frustrated and irritated but then again its me to blame no one else!!
started 6WBMO 29th Sept and if i had really worked the prog i would have lsot a substantial amount but i keep sabotaging myself over the weekend and all the good work and retraint of the week goes to waste!! why am i doing that??? what do i fear??? some deep introspection required i guess!!!

It has been wonderful..not the weight loss but the change in my mind set. i no longer try to control or predict teh consequence..that is the scale. Now I am focused on what I CAN DO. My goal now is to meet my exercise and diet goals and the rest shall follow.
Lost 4 lbs since last entry.
measurements now:
Neck: 14.5
Chest: 43
Tummy: 36.5 (biggest loss here from 44)
hips: 46.8
Bicep: 12.3

exercise target was 1730 min..a very ambitious one as it meant almost 70min 6 times a week...i ended up being 315 min short of the goal, yet it was 1405 min of hard core exercise. i can now run for 15 min straight and burn about 500 cal in one cardio session.
STILL i lost only 3 lbs and NO inches!! i will focus on what i can control and that is my workouts and my diet the rest will/ has to follow!!

lost my mojo totally after coming back from India and then lost my job!! but i did gain...13 lbs out of the 24 lbs i had lost last year!! why did i let myself go like that? who knows!! the important thing is i am back on track. the eating part is still all over the place but I have joined curves and feeling good about working out.

gained 14 lbs in 3 months
gained 25 overall inches in 3 months

I fell off the wagon majorly and now I am back....my new goals are to live a more healthy lifestyle and not obsess only on weight

My Program:
watching what I eat...sometimes I watch and watch and in the end eat it :)
also trying to do regular stretch and cardio exercises..this site is a lot of help

Personal Information:
I am originally from India but living in the US for the last 9 yrs. Sometimes tracking the calories for my everyday Indian food is difficult but I am sticking to it. If there is someone in the same boat as me..lets connect!!!

Other Information:
I love reading...anything!! Calvin and Hobbes being my current fav...a BIG PG Wodehouse fan
