My Goals:
My main goal is to lose weight. Both of my parents are/were very overweight. My mom passed away from cancer after a lifetime of unhealthy eating. My dad has diabetes which is having a lot of negative effects on his life now. I'd like to try to get down to a manageable weight to try to avoid as much as possible, weight related health issues as I get older. It's working; I'm not even half way to my goal and I've been taken off my blood pressure medicine as of November, 2011! Yeah!

My Program:
1000-1200 calories on non-exercise days. Up to 1300 calories on exercise days. Following SP as far as 50% carbs, 30% healthy fats, 20% protein. I do Zumba 3 days a week for exercise and I love it! Any exercise for me has to be fun or I won't do it. It's all that simple for me, even though it's that hard!

I am 46 and have an adorable 6 y/o springer spaniel. I love to garden/landscape at my house, and I am working on incorporating more food plants into the landscape-it's more about the process, though, than the result. Really goes with my philosophy of the fun and wonder of the journey than the destination! Love my Zumba classes and the friends I go with. I also am a fair weather walker-when the weather is good, I take my dog for long walks and we have such a good time together!
