Cool: This prayer was said 3 times a day by 2000 volunteers and they lost an avg of 4.5 lbs in 2 weeks and some weren't even dieting...

UPDATE: I bought the book Shrink Yourself ($14 @ Banres & Noble) and all I can say is "WOW"!!! It's as if he wrote it just for me!!! I have read dozens and dozens of books and countless articles on the subject and nothing has ever impacted me the way that this has.

OK! I am following some VERY good Advice and writing out specific antidotes for the poisonous thoughts in my head:

I am intelligent and a deep thinker.
I get a lot accomplished, just on my own timetable!
I am actually a very lovely & giving person. I love deeply and with my whole heart. I am getting healthier and more fit every single day. I am valuable. I am loveable because I exist. I am very precious in God's sight. I have wonderful family and friends who love and appreciate me. I am funny, witty and fun to be with! I am as attractive as I feel and right now I feel pretty irresistable! I am beloved, forgiven and seen as perfect and acceptable thanks to my Lord and savior. I am blessed, redeemed, a conqueror, filled with the power and the wisdom of God Almighty!

My Goals:

Be Healthy

My Program:
I am eating yummy low carb & nutritious food that I enjoy and am avoiding sugar and flour
I eat slowly with no distractions
I walk and do yoga 3-5x per week
I drink lots of water and green tea

I am learning to cope with my emotions in healthy ways - I blog, journal, share with friends, listen to music & affirmations and have found EFT (tapping) extremely helpful as well

I also keep Paul McKenna's 4 Golden Rules in mind:
1. Eat when I am hungry
2. Eat what I want
3.Eat consciously
4.Stop when I am satisfied.

Personal Information:
I grew up on Long Island but have lived in Florida for the last 20 years.
I have been married for 25 years and have 1 daughter, 19 yrs old and 1 Rescue cat named Willow, 1 yrs old.
I love reading and writing and singing. I love making people laugh and spending time with my daughter, Sarah & DH Chuck. We are movie buffs!
I enjoy swimming, being near the ocean, the change of seasons and being in nature. I love all kinds of music, but especially soothing meditative instrumentals or contemporary Christian rock.
