Ok folks I totally suck. I went from 206 to 143 and kept it off for 1 1/2 yrs then slowly gained it all back. Yep you hear correctly. Only excuse I have is an injury that left me unable too do much walking, hiking or anything else. I did keep up with bowling for a bit. Well I had surgery on Dec. 17th, 2012 and finally got the release from the surgeon that I could exercise again. One problem is everytime I try to do a hike of any distant, like 6+ miles I end up not being to walk for 3 days. I mean I walk, but the pain is so intense in both of my legs that it is all I can do to get up. I end up taking so much Tylenol, which doesn't seem to do much at all. Hubby thinks it is my RA and along with having Lupus the last year has been rough on me and my body. I know there are some of you out there who I was very close with and will understand the stress I have been under the last couple of years. We started a home remodeling job that has been going on now for close to 2 yrs. I had no place to exercise at home, the way I wanted to and things just got me depressed, along with some other things. Anyway I plan on getting back into the swing of things because that is was a motivator is suppose to do. Yes you heard me correct. I was a motivator who was no longer motivated...

Didn't make my goal of my 55th birthday, March 21st. I then decided to change it to my anniversary, June 28th 2011, I know I will not make my goal by the end of June.

Things have just not gone my way and it is mostly my own fault. I haven't been keeping up with daily inputting of my food and I know that I keep going over my calorie goals for each day. I have been doing plenty of exercise min. but over eatting is not helping me lose. I am just keeping with-in the 155 lbs range now, 2 pounds either direction.

I have decided that after I complete my first 5K on the 11th of June, that I will start watching what I am eatting. One reason is we will be starting to do construction on our home. Since we will be doing most of the work ourselves, I will be getting good workouts everyday. I promise to myself to keep account of what I eat everyday.

I have decided to change my end date from Dec. 31, 2010 to my 55th birthday on March 21st, 2011.

Well, I have been sick on and off for really the last couple of months. I don't want to push myself, then get sick again trying to reach my goal by my original set date.
I suffer from some real medical problems that I mostly just ignore, as long as they are not bothering me. Along with Lupus w/kidney disfunction, RA, Fibromyalgia, asthma and some other problems. I tend to get ill more in the fall and winter months. The stress of not having full medical coverage every month is also something that I need to take into consideration when I over-extend or push myself.

So here I am again knowing that I have gained back at least 4 orf 5 pounds in the last month because of lack of exercise. This only means I need to watch what I eat and exercise without getting sick again. This is one of the reason's I have not been going to the gym.

It just seem's that whenever I start back at the gym, I get sick. I didn't have this problem when I was a member of Bally's. I have now been w/24 Hrs for a little over 2 yrs. and it seems to be a big problem for me. Bally's had 5 or 6 employee's at any given time that were constancely cleaning. The 24 that I go to has 2 people and they are there at different times. I know they work hard but I don't think they are able to keep up with all the cleaning that needs to be done. So I will really have to think about wether I will rejoin for my 4th year when the time comes along.

Anyway, I am going to take it slow and hope for the best and give myself a few extra months to reach my goal. Wish me luck, my Spark friends!

My Goals:
To lose weight and to stay healthy. I have so much trouble staying healthy because of immune supression drugs that I take, like Prenidsone, Celcept and imuran

I use hand weights, walking belt and resistance band when using these dvds.
I still go to the gym but only about 2 or 3 days a week and use the strength machines for 40 of mins. and do about an hour of cardio. Still losing weight so I am a happy camper.
