I'm sorry I'm no longer active on this website. I spent 2 full years meeting so many wonderful & motivating people here that I miss you all very much! I have been at my goal weight & size for over 3 years now, and have learned so much from this site that I'm planning to make it a career to help others love their bodies & to make their lives healthier. Sparkpeople has changed my life in so many ways. First of all it taught me that you can get something amazing for free! Second it gave me the tools to make huge changes in my life that I needed to be healthy. My journey here started 2 years ago, when I was feeling fat & flabby after all the holiday goodies. In search for the basic knowledge to lose weight the healthy way, I came across this site. At first I only logged on every day to enter my food on the tracker & put the few minutes of slow walking on the fitness log. Slowly I started seeing my calorie intake creep down to a healthier, weight loss level & my calories burned on a rise! By the end of the first week I stepped on the scale and was shocked to see 2 lbs less of me!
I became more active on the message boards, feeding off the inspiration of other team members & learning healthier ways to change my old bad eating habits. In a short 6 months of belonging to sparkpeople, I had reached my goal weight, pant size & most of all found the career path I've been searching for all my life!
In the past year I've been the team member of the best team here at Spark! ~Tight & Toned~ This team has allowed me to meet other amazing people, as well as keeping others motivated to do the monthly challenges & just to share support. Make sure you check out the team, even if it's just for the monthly challenges because we have some great 'outside the box' ideas!

On my quest for the perfect body I've learned so much, actually the most important thing is to accept my body for how it looks. I now have realized I will never ever look like a super model, no long skinny legs for me. Instead I've become fascinated with my curvy figure & how many miles these muscles have conquered!
I have also learned what I want to be when I grow up! I've struggled with not knowing the right path of taking as a career, until now. I'm enrolled back into college and plan to receive my degree in both nutrition & physical science. I have a great business idea that's not yet on the market, so until I create my own business no letting the cat out of the bag of what I will do!!!

I'm excited to have met so many people in my life who support me & want to learn that life can be enjoyed with out counting each little fat gram or boring routines on the treadmill. I wish everyone here the very best & hope that if you need some motivation to get moving, take the hundred of hands reaching out to you here on SP and let them show you how easy this journey can be when you have support from friends who really care about you!

Keep maintaining my current weight, any extra lbs lost is wonderful! But I love the size I'm at now. I am just working at toning my not so perfect areas into my idea of perfection!

I got casted as a dancer/extra for the college musical of Chicago this fall!! I'm super excited to be back on stage performing again. Dance classes start June 16, Performance is Nov 7-16!!

My Program:
I make it a point to have "me" time every day!
My time is a run, whether it's a short 2 mile sprint or a long training run of 5-7 miles, I need that time to recharge and make it through the day. I do not run every day, but break it up with walks, swimming, biking, yoga or playing hard with the kids. Strength training is my biggest goal for the new year. I already do light weights & toning now, but hope to really focus on bringing more s.t. into my work out schedule now that I have some friends to work out at the gym with.
I am not much of a food person, lucky me, but I don''t like "healthy" food. I really try to keep up my protein & watch the empty calories. I love to have a sweet after every meal, so I really have to watch that. I swear that eating 5 times a day is the only way to go, that is the main reason why I've lost the weight & keep it off even when I'm not eating the way I should be. With mini small meals during the day, I end up eating less junk. I swear by this

Personal Information:
My name is Jenn, in my early 30's & I live in California with my amazing husband of 8 years & two beautiful kids. My hubby and I are best of friends, who keeps me laughing & feeling sexy even in my ugliest of days. He works hard so I can stay home with them,
teach them the importance of living life to the fullest but of course all in moderation! I love being a wife, mom & friend to those close to me. I have a beautiful life & know that blessings come to those who give unconditionally!
I enjoy photography, (not real good at it, but love it anyways!)I also enjoy swimming, it's the only sport I can kick my hubby's butt at! As well as the boring things like reading, sewing, crafts, knitting, shopping. However my favorite moment is when I'm on the back of my hubby's Harley, riding down a quiet country rode, holding on to the love of my life & living the moment to the very fullest!

Other Information:
I'm so thankful for my wonderful family! I was raised by an amazing family who showed me love is everything. I feel blessed to be living closer to my parents & in laws so we can share every special moment together.
I have fun, loving friends who make me laugh & bring the 'naughty, smart ass' out of me! However it's also when I enjoy my wine & cocktails the most, so I have to bank my calories if I know a party is on the way.
I'm proud of my Mom, Kathy O who has been on SP with me for the past year. She is doing great with trying to keep up with my strict orders and it shows with her weight loss! Keep up the amazing changes Mom, you're my hero!
Oh, we also just moved into our dream home, on our very own "Wisteria lane"! Great neighbors, great city & best of all a great house to create beautiful memories in! We worked hard to be able to buy this amazing house, so it's true that working hard & making sacrifices will pay off in the end.

    Hey Jenn! You haven't been on spark but still have a ton of comments b/c you were a spark motivator of the day. You make me sick..haahaa j/k!!

    Welcome back and I hope you find it helps you to conquer the holiday weight. I would love to lose some weight this month, but deep down I realize if I just don't gain any weight that will be a good thing also. Just double bonus if I lose..so that's the goal!

    Shoulder is better than it was before the surgery, but still not 100% like a shoulder should be. Still some stiffness in the joint and a little pain when sleeping. It's been 8 months since surgery...doc said it would be 4-6 months until I could golf and use it..which he was right. Then he said it could be 8-12 months before everything feels "normal". ...so i just have to be patient at this point..not my cup of tea though! I want to work my upper body!!!!!!!!!!! UGH!

    Ok I went to your FB page..hadn't been there in a while and I start looking at pictures and seeing a woman with dark brown hair. I thought it was you and was like WHAT????????? Where's my blonde Jenn?? I was confused for a few, then I realized that these were pics you had taken of other people. The one girl has pretty much the same name as you. I was so confused and concerned....LOL
