Its great because I dislike sweating. But you have no way to cool down.They had eye of round steak on sale really cheap. I found this red wine and onion recipe to make it tender.

So it tastes more like a spiced up steak.
I have to eat meat and keep albumin levels up. Vegan and dialysis don't mix well. I was actually told to eat more meat than fruits or veggies. A simple German radish salad.
Chop your radishes in a food chopper..add a pinch of sea salt and let it sit a moment. It will litterally make it's own dressing. So good 😋I''ve always wanted to travel to Petra (my name) in Jordan and eat Tabbouleh salad. It looked so good on that travel video.
My Egyptian doctor was nice enough and bought me a bag of bulgur. Yay!
Bulgur , lemon, garlic, cucumber, tomato, parsley , mint, green onions and olive oil ...it is so good..so refreshing and one cup has under 100 calories. The grains are filling. I think I will just stick to vegan tonight. 😋Posted a photoAll puffy today. But my daughter said I look nice. Thought I'd pop in and say "Hi". 😁I ate my 1200 calories a day last weekend and stuck my my fluid restriction and gained 13 lbs over the weekend. I was so upset. From Tue to today I ate the same amount of foods and drink and gained only 3.5 lbs.

My pie chart was almost perfect.It's about a 500 calorie dinner but I did not eat any lunch. Pork loin, rice, portabella mushrooms and baby asparagus salad. My daughters first day back in school. She deserves to come home to a nice meal.Got mail today. My 15 yr old cat Binki
has been laying in the box since I've opened it. Doesn't take much to make a cat happy. 🐱Never give up. We can do this!!!

But I did low carb 15 yrs ago and lost 20 and gained 50 back. Do not think I want to do that again. Nutritionist said everything in moderation. I do stay away from cakes and pies however..lol.Went to sleep around 11:30pm and woke up at 1:30am full of energy. Quite crazy! So here I am 4am cooking tomorrows dinner. 😬
The recipe wasn't for the slow cooker so I shall keep you posted how the experiment goes. So I've started back to walk at the indoor track at a local church this morning after only 2 hours sleep. Now 30 min is all I could do. I had on brand new Pumas and I guess they are for yoga where you sit around in them..LOL....they ain't meant for walking. My feet are still throbbing. Good thing I will just sit around for the next 4 hours at the clinic.This sign was outside my indoor walking track this morning.Perfect! First time back at the place. I walked around the neighborhood last winter. I love walking in the cold. I come alive in it. Here's a riddle: I was born in winter...a few miles from Winterhausen... I was born with dark hair and skin like snow white. Can you guess my birth name? 😁My nutritionist gave me these little bags of samples today. And instructions on how to make it.

My Princess is chilling.I've been up since 3:50 am. But sleepyhead (you can tell I was half awake) had a goal to walk at least 30 min at the indoor track and then buy groceries...which added another 45 min of walking and excercise carrying all the bags up the stairs and into the house. Pheww...I did it!!! It is already feeling like 95 out there. 🌞Made the spark recipe layered Mexican bean dip. Will try it for supper. It has enough nutrients with all those beans and greek yoghurt and salad and veggies...why heat up the house by cooking. It is so hot in Georgia!!Good morning 😊

LONG TIME SUN - SNATAM KAUR ♥I baked at 9am while it wasn't so hot outside yet. I don't want to heat up the house in the afternoon when the AC has to work extra hard. As a result I kept smelling food. By 11 am I had to dig in. LOL
Baked skinless chicken, potatoes, veggies and stuffed mushrooms.So far I've walked 30 min every day this week. It's just all I can do for the moment until I work my way back up.Another old photo. We can't go back can we? We can only move forward and try to become better versions of ourselves. Mind, body and spiritually!Well off to the hospital for blood work.
Wish me luck that we will find the missing link why this weight isn't budging.
Then off for a walk. Not giving up!!!I forgot to post this. I've tried the corn salad recipe on SP. It is a nice and light snack. I added half a bell pepper it didn't ask for. It has under 200 calories per 1.5 cups. No salt added...just one spoon of olive oil.
Also nice as a dip for tortilla chips or whatever you prefer.Hope everybody had a wonderful day!

Eighter we have serious global warming problems or geoengineers have declared war. I've never seen so many cat 5 hurricanes back to back. Irma, Jose and now Maria...all pummeling the same areas over and over.

Perfect blood pressure despite being overweight and carrying of extra fluid. Not took bp meds in 6 months...(I believe it is my pink salt that makes all the difference). Blood sugar ok. She is happy with my 1200 a day diet. I'm like I want to do more than maintain. Just said to keep going. I have two things against me...no kidneys and being female...LOL...so I'll have to be patient.Smokey mountain chicken and veggies tonight.
It is just chicken breast seasoned with lemon pepper and topped with cooked mushrooms and a slice of provolone.
The cheese adds extra calories but so worth it. I just ate less all day to make up for it. 😉Was talking with some friends last night. Decided to pull out some old photos. Caught her guardian angels

No preservatives. The sour dough aids digestion and the rye helps with blood sugar. My phosperous levels are down when I don't eat store bought bread. And that is a blessing.I hate to toot my own horn. 🎉 But I do bake the best chicken. LOL

I was taking my after dyalisis nap yesterday and woke up with them sitting in my bed like that..LOL.I baked some olive, herb and parmesan bread last night. Mmmm wish ya could smell it 😋. Made a sandwhich for dyalisis. Plus I suppose to eat something salty like chips. I bring salted radishes and mini pickles instead...they don't have emty calories and do provide some nutrients. I also have doctors orders to add salt to my drink. So I make sugar free lemonade with a splash of lime juice. It is like a faux margarita...and way better than salty water...LOL 🍍🍸🍹Made some slow cooker pork chops...sooo good. Mixed greens and a forbidden sweet potato. OMG...it was so delicious. (I think it will be ok. I have regular potatoes every now and then and my potassium levels are ok.) Only bought two at the store so I wouldn't be tempted to go overboard. Now my best friends mom paints old furniture. This is a piece she restored and then painted. I thought it was very nice. The wine bottles on top is from their vineyards. They also distill snaps and her mom makes liqueur from berries in their garden.Just a big salad tonight. With chicken and lots of banana peppers. Felt like spice so I added some green salsa too. It is quite spicey and more like a thin guacamole. I know it doesn't look fantastic but it is actually quite yumm.Today we used water dumbells for our work out. It was a great work out and so much fun. Anything you do on land is way more fun and feels like childs play in the water. I urge anyone to give it a try. I think you will love it. 💖Apparently this is a Greek stew. I had a beef roast and butternut and acorn squash and portabellas and thought they would pair well. I had no idea the dish existed. LOL But hey...I carry a Greek name...so at some point I was going to kick out a Greek dish..eh?
I especially love the butternut squash. Ever since I had that sweet potato a few days ago I have a taste fot these things. It is so worth taking that chalky potassium binder just so I can enjoy something my body is craving.Home made spaghetti for my child..with peppers, onions, mushrooms, ground beef, italian sausage, tomatoes.....herbs and spices...the works! I am waiting on my spaghetti squash to finish baking. I am tempted to eat a bowl of the real deal...LOL.Spaghetti squash lasagna for me 😋.

So I'm trying a honey garlic chicken crockpot recipe. It smells very good 😋.
Shall steam some broccoli and we'll have a meal when my child gets home from school.This is the same crock pot dish I posted about earlier. My daughter loves it and wanted me to take a picture. It turned out really yummy. And unlike Chinese take out you don't have all that grease and MSG and whatever else they add.Quick meal ! Chicken breast with mushrooms and provolone. Steamed broccoli and some steamable New England style protein and grains blend that is very yummy.Only my child would do this when you tell her to paint a pumpkin....haha. 😄
They were asked to paint pumpkins in art class. I expected an orange fellow. LOLForgot to buy lettuce today. So I made a Lebanese parsley salad instead. It is good for you and refreshing...so why not? 😉Wanted something different tonight. Decided on a lobster and shrimp bisque. 😋 I didn't use heavy cream ..water and 2% milk..you really can't tell. And I only made enough for one bowl each. So no chance on messing up on portion control. Eating this slowly...LOL.Today we used aqua joggers after our initial water aerobics class with noodles. Our instructer found them in the pool closet and wanted to try them. While I missed our dumbells today ...I was able to get lots of crunches in with this floating device.
I don't understand why anybody wants to work out on dry land. I can not sweat and I can excercise in the water as long as I want and never get hot. I love it!! 💖Zuchini Lasagna.....didn't miss the pasta one bit. 😋Quick lunch. But kind of disappointing. The package was misleading. Good thing I bought two. The two little filets you see ...well there were only 3 in my big ole bag. The 12 oz must have been frozen weight. More like 3 after cooking. I won't be buying cod again. Sticking with Salmon or talapia. Veggies and rice were great!! 😋Baked my bread for the weekend last night. Gotta keep that phosperous low. I should probably just cut it out period. But my doctor says Keto would be toxic to me. Everytime I attempted to cut carbs this week something stopped me.
So in the meantime I enjoyed some of my olive, oregano, parmesan and garlic loaf. 😋Kind of a sad day. Another 8 weeks of water aerobics have come to an end.
It is by far my favorite way to excercise.
I will eighter have to walk until January or just go swimming without an instructor. I enjoy having an instructor...she makes things fun and keeps us motivated to work harder.Wantec a smoothie for dinner. I used frozen strawberries, blueberries, bananas, chia seeds, soy milk, splash of mango, juice and a scoop of protein powder. It's like soft serve ice cream. Essentially I am having a nutritious dessert as a meal replacement. 😋Trying something new here. Instead of drinking when I get thirsty I will eat one of these. The ice is not only refreshing but one popsicle melted is so much less fluid then if I even drink a tiny glass of liquid. I just had a lemonade one and I feel quite happy about it. 😋OK ....I must be in Pre Thanksgiving mode. 😊 LOL This is sugar free, fat free pumpkin mousse and 55 cal per serving. Everything I have cooked today looks surprisingly rich but I am doing good on calories and nutrition. My brain says I am splurging however and I need to stay out of that kitchen.Just purchased this as a gift for my daughters Nana. She is cooking Thanksgiving and I thought this was so pretty as table decor. 😊I made Dr Berg's cauliflour crust pizza.
He calls it the healthiest pizza in the world. LOL
You can google the recipe or watch it on his youtube channel. I added banana peppers one one side but not on the other. The toppings are all up to you 😊. My daughter made her own.I live in t-shirts now that I spend so much time at dyalisis. I found some cute ones today. 😁Scored some new shoes today 😊. Holidays are good for something besides eating. I am strange. I prefer to eat fresh green grapes over red ones. But if it is juice or wine I rather have red over white. If I want frozen grapes I prefer the black grapes.Who else is tired of ham and turkey?

Tapping my toes. My machines alarm went off. I put thr music on pause to find what was going on. My heart rate was 137...the nurse shook her head and said well now it is 107. Haha Pretty sure it was the music. When I paused it my heart slowed. Now that is work out music. LOLPasta Florentine with palm hearts and artichokes and spinach. Now I didn't use milk at all and cut everything in half that was calorie rich. It has probably half the calories or less than the full version and tastes just as good. 😋 I am not allowed to have whole grain and just used regular spaghetti noodles.

We don't get any snow but I did enjoy the crisp air. Ran a few errands afterwards. Got great specials on boneless skinless chicken so we'll be eating lots of chicken dishes in the new year. 😋Grilled some pork chops and stir fried a kale, mustard and turnip green mix. Also red potato and green beans in garlic butter.
The pork chop seasoning is a German recipe of tossing together salt, pepper, paprika, thyme, chilli powder and some cayenne pepper. Grill it in a cast iron pan for a few min and finish it in the oven and they come out really tender.Ok these two Sparkies are just too cute. 😄 Who is cuter Palmer or Cristina?

I started/ended my year with tiramisu as a final sweet treat. Time to get back on the salad band wagon.😉 I used a German salad dressing mix. You just add oil and water and stir it. It is delicious. 😋 Then I used mixed salad, slaw mix, radish, cucumbers, tomato and green onions and tossed it in the dressing. It's best when you toss every veggie in the kitchen in it, right? I am quite hungry. Skipped lunch because we were to busy enjoying the first snow in 8 years. It is already melting. It was a very nice change for us today 😊.We played in the snow for several hours then took an additional one hour walk in the snow. We haven't wanted to spend so much time out in the cold in a very long time. It has been almost 8 yrs since our last snow in the South. That is only the second time I have seen any in the last 27 yrs here. I grew up in snow and my daughter was just born in the wrong place because she loves it, too. We enjoyed it while it lasted. It will be gone tomorrow I'm afraid.

I feel like I ate quite balanced despite working in a small bowl of pasta.Supper was a little lighter. I used the broth from cooking my chicken for the baked ziti and made a cream of leek soup. No heavy cream however. Just added boillion to the broth and two big stalks of leeks, a little low fat milk to make it opaque..then blended it with an immersion blender. Drink up..LOLSupper 😊 I didn't feel like a meal. That big glass is only 1 cup of almond milk, a hand full of frozen berries and banana, scoop of protein shake and a tablespoon of chia seeds.
It's like a rich thick milkshake except there is no added sugar or ice cream and actually has nutrients.
Speaking of ice cream. All that is left of our snow is my snowman and he is starting to look like a melting ice cream cone. ⛄🍦My idea of a Jalapeno popper chicken breast, beet salad and ceasar salad.
Now who wants fast food at twice the calories and half the nutrients?And who is eating with me? 🤔I made lentil soup last night so I would not have to cook after treatment. It was delicious. It is soooo good. Nothing beats home cooking. ❤Actually didn't feel like cooking and grilled pork steak anyway. I won't be eating a whole one but layed it on the plate for the picture. And yes I am weird and eat hot sauce on my greens. LOLFast food!!!
Ground turkey or beef, onions and and a bag of slaw mix...stir fry it..add some instant boullion powder and you have a meal of veggies and protein in minutes and it won't spike your blood sugar.This stuff is the bomb. A great cheese replacement and can be sprinkled on popcorn in place of butter to increase your protein and nutrition.
I am going to try out some youtube recipes for vegan cheeses since dairy is high in phosperous and potassium and I am restricted. But it is a great addition in anybodies diet.It's a great feeling when your childs face lights up when she walks in and smells her food. She always thanks me for cooking. There were times I was to sick to cook and now we appreciate it.

Smokey mountain chicken breast and grilled veggies.I used the left overs from todays dinner and made Thai coconut chicken soup for tomorrow. Per request I also cooked rice. This isn't my photo. My food is steaming and I can't take one right now. LOLI used my daughters left over pancakes today and made myself Pfannenkuchensuppe for lunch. A friend of mine has never heard of it. Then realised theres lots of food people don't know about. Like baked peas for soups. It's a nice change from just chicken noodle soup if you watch calories instead of carbs that is.So I have had two of these salt lamps for years and it is suppose to help with sinuses and sleep. I don't know why in the world I never plug them in? I finally did after reading an article tonight. Shall let you guys know if it helps with sleep.

Little bit of seasoned cottage cheese on bottom, sauce and fresh parmesan and mozzarella on top.My baby been wanting to make a special burger sauce. So I let her loose in the kitchen this afternoon. I asked my Dr. how he knew I had a craving. Did it show up in my bloodwork? 😅 I can't wait to try new dishes with my seasoning.My child wanted Zaxby's. I got her a plate and I made myself an Asian Salad with Ginger dressing. It was very yummy. I did swipe a few fried mushrooms for protein. Not gonna lie. But the whole box has 400 calories. So a few pieces fit into my meal plan. It is tempting not to buy a meal plate. Smelled so good. But my salad was delicious. I enjoyed it a lot! 😁I have this cooking for tomorrow...since it is hard to cook on dialysis days. I am using red potatoes but I have to remove the potassium rich skins and double boil them to remove as much potassium as possible. Also I used peeled shrimp since I do not feel like fooling with that once I am ready to sit down and eat. I am using turkey sausage since it is lower in calories. Smells very good right now. 😊What do you feed a chocolate lover when she won't eat fruit. A chocolate and chocolate chip banana bread. The cookies were her idea. She is visiting relatives tomorrow. She can bring them treats. 😁 So far I have resisted. I had a bowl of my low country boil and a pear as a snack this evening. I don't need sweets.Spinach stuffed portobellos and oven fried mushrooms. I am actually quite surprised. I had breakfast before 6 am. Just some toast and hard boiled egg. I had no lunch or snack before my swim. I grabbed a protein bar for after and ended up not needing it. I was not hungry until a few moments ago. Intermitted fasting I guess...LOL. Also what surprised me was I was not as worn out today as last week. My body is getting back in the habit...maybe. 😁72 degrees and sunny 😎🌞. Feels like a German summer and it made me want childhood food after my swim.

I used to think you could only make salmon patties but you can use makerel and tuna as well. They are all excellent in my opinion.I haven't felt like posting in a while. Been taking a little break from logging my food, too. Trying focus less on food and see what happens.

If I am lucky I might get some after 2pm 🤔🤔🤔.Haven't cooked this in a while. Jalapeno popper chicken. This time i just mixed cream cheese and jalapeno juice instead of sliced jalapeno as requested. Then filled and grilled it as usual. It's really good. I don't do Keto but I have my low carb days. 😊5 lbs less than last Saturday. 2 lbs less than Thursday. I want this downward trend to continue. It's time. I have been patient. I deserve it!!!
My daughter will get her wish too. The toaster I pre ordered had enough buyers to go into production. Yay!!

Been meaning to try his noodle and veggie casserole. Since I am eating low carb these days I will use cauliflower in place of Schupfnudeln.

It's broccoli, carrots, bacon, cauliflour and cheese casserole basically.I was working on making overnight chocolate chia seed pudding. It was on my Keto breakfast list. Just wanted something different but healthy.
I just let my daughter try it and told her it had to sit in the fridge for breakfast. To which she replied: Oh ok. Yeah I'll eat your concoction in the morning. 😂

But I had gained less than what I drank...so I know I've lost weight. It's a very slow process for me. I'll gladly take whatever it is. 😊 My daughter's abstract sculpture won second place at the art show today. I'm sure it feels like 1st to her. She worked hard.Ended up losing 2 lbs today. It's not much but I'm happy with it. 😁 It's a whole lot better than my times I've lost zero. So happy...more please 🖒🙏.

They sure help me keep my protein levels up. Other patients have to drink or eat sugary protein drinks/bars. I don't have that problem as long as I have my eggs. Unlike what we've been told they don't affect my cholesterol either. Eating out does.Meet one of my favorite people on this rock we call home. I inspire him to eat better.
