10 months of pole fitness later, and I can really see the muscle I’ve gained and how my strength has improved! This is “butterfly” which we practiced today. So glad I found a strength training regimen I actually love!Learned this variation of “Gemini” this week! Requires mostly a good amount of shoulder and back flexibility. 💪🏻Sailling in the Florida Keys 2018Learned a new move in class this week! Inside leg hang with like an elbow grip, which will eventually turn into Allegra. Love being challenged each week in class, going from “wow there’s no way I can do this” to “omg I think I got it!!” 💪🏻Screenshot from this week- finally have been able to do Brass Monkey!! First tried this in January, so 6 months later, I got it! 💪🏻💪🏻💜💙 Love the feeling of learning and growing and crushing fitness goals!I can do “thigh hold” now! This move used to scare me so bad, now I think it’s fun!! 🙌🏻We can video at the end of pole class and when watching it back later I saw my 💪🏻💪🏻! Didn’t have those guns 12 months ago lol. 🙌🏻✨“Ballerina” spin tonight in class 💪🏻💜💙🌟Did a repeat BodPod analysis 20 weeks later, and I lost 10lbs of fat, gained 1.5lbs of muscle, and went from 26.9% bodyfat (moderately lean) to 21.9% bodyfat (lean). 🙌🏻 yahoo!! Really exciting 💪🏻✨Thursday evening pole class ✨🦄Hanging out in outside leg hang earlier tonight ✌🏼Tried out “brass monkey bridge” this afternoon in class, for the first time, and got it! 💪🏻🦄Been excited about learning this move “Jade” the past month or two! Finally able to do it. :) Once my flexibility improves, it will look more like a split instead of a “V”.Had a great day of practice today! Here’s a screenshot of me doing “Cupid”Finally got “extended butterfly” down this week! Another “pole goal” reached! 🙌🏻🥳Flying Brass Monkey 🐒 new move today at practice!Did a 5k mud run on Saturday with 35 obstacles!! It was so much fun, took about 2 hours to complete. And I was able to climb to the top of a rope and ring a bell - the two other times I’ve ran this particular course I hadn’t been able to reach the top of the rope! Progress!!Yes, I want to lose those last 10-15lbs again, but I’m still proud of what my body can do right now. Learned “Archer” this week in pole class!This move “Ayesha” has been my goal for 2019 and I finally did it today!! Only two points of contact — my elbow and my hand — legs are balanced in the air. I seriously have been trying and trying for so long but something finally “clicked” today and I was able to do it all by myself. 🙌🏻🤸🏼♀️Look at the cool shark teeth my husband and I found on our beach walk this afternoon! Two of the biggest teeth we’ve found ever! 🦈🦷I’ve lost 5.0 pounds since this photo was taken! Motivation is high to lose the next 15lbs! 🙌🏻💪🏻I’ve lost 11.1 pounds in the past 8 weeks since tracking my nutrition and eating healthier! Yahoo!
