Today's exercise will consist of hand turning dirt in my raised garden beds so i can plant later this week. This is where a lot of my time will be spent this summer. So far it's doing pretty well 😊21week streak of working out 90 minutes or more.. pretty proud of this one 😄Perfection! SPARK has my carbs set at 48% fat 26% and protein 26%.. i finally hit it right on! woo hoo!Tired today. Been working on building a new chicken coop. Its hard not to do too much work, but its coming along slowly 😊The chickens are ready to move in already!Worked a few more hours yesterday. Its coming along slowly. Made completely of pallet pieces hubby got from work minus the roof & door 😊Its getting there! Hope to get the front & part of the roof done this weekend, & hopefully the door hung. Chickens should have their new home this week if all goes well 😀Finally seeing some fruits of my labors.. one tiny pickle, zucchini & yellow summer squash.. i can't wait to harvest & eat from my garden. 😋We got the front finished & door put in yesterday.. working on the roof & hopefully nesting boxes today.. but its HOT 😎😓☉We got the roof put on! Excited my garden is doing well so far this year. Ive gotten a few zucchini, one squash & 2 cucumbers & they're all delicious 🤗Gorgeous sunset last night.. the kind that makes you pause, captures your attention & makes you appreciate how beautiful nature is 😊Before & after of the attached duck box with ramp.. obviously the CHICKENS like it lolMade a watering station for the chickens & ducks. 🐣🐥🐤🐔🐓The inside is done & they're finally laying where they're supposed to 🐣🌞Started with a few pallets 11amGot most of it done by 3...8pm my whole chicken coop & added storage space is done!!So happy its finished 😆Spent the day yesterday fixing up the house. Trying to give it more curb appeal in case we decide to sell. I can't believe what a difference a coat of paint can make!So i stopped at one of those HIGI stations today while in town. My BP was 94/74 and pulse was 66 after walking through the store to find it. Its frustrating tho that even after 30+ lbs gone these are still my results. I feel like i may never get to where i want to be. Still overweight & body fat in the "at risk" catagory even though i have 27 in waist.. i hate being short 😝Someone wants my apples...🙄 lol#deliciousdailymoment
On a hot day i use my slow cooker. Today is meatless enchilada casserole with lentils, quinoa, brown rice, black beans, diced jalapenos & zucchini 😋I love my kids..but today's #deliciousdailymoment was them going back to school, and me getting to walk in the park. My healthy snack today.. low fat cottage cheese with 1cup diced tomatoes & fresh basil both from the garden 😋 sprinkled a lil garlic powder on top. Today is my "meatless Monday". Im not a huge fan of the traditional tomato sauce based stuffed peppers, so tonight i made zucchini, quinoa, lentil stuffed peppers seasoned with onion, garlic & paprika. I woke up super hungry this morning so breakfast is a little earlier than normal. 1c zucchini, 2 farm fresh eggs scrambled, 1/4 c quinoa topped with a little mozzarella, one orange & my coffee brings the total to 378 calories. I'm not sure if this picture does justice to size but the cucumbers are 3 inches by 10 inches and the basket is 12 inches by 12 inches by 7 inches deep and is overflowing with tomatoes. I have just as many tomatoes and twice as many cucumbers in the house from last week. Guess I'll be canning again this weekend🙄Today's lunch just 349 calories. 3 mini corn tortillas topped with leftover pan seared pork chop with peppers & onions topped with greek yogurt & a kale with bagged salad mix topped with my homemade greek yogurt "ranch" .. mmmm😋Whole wheat English muffin with a lil avocado, one egg and two slices of tomato and a cup of grapes. Yummy 325 calorie breakfast before my run 😆Far exceeded my 10k goal AND set a new personal record 😆 yay!!400 calorie protein packed breakfast. Found these 2 workout shirts on clearance for $1.00 each. I decided to get them as a reward for losing 40 lbs (i still have 2lbs to go). It's a great incentive to make sure i reach my goal 😆My version of inside out chicken cordon bleu, fresh from the garden sauteed green beans & a crescent roll. Yummy 356 calorie dinner. Happy Sunday everyone 🤗Over 3 hours of blanching, peeling, chopping for 12 quarts of garden fresh canned tomatoes...The fruits of my labor..literally 😥 very happy to have some on the shelf for the winter 😆My 482 calorie vegetarian green enchiladas. 6 mini corn tortillas stuffed with chick peas, lentils & spinach (seasoned with onion powder, garlic, salt & cumin) then topped with green enchilada sauce & mozzarella cheese.. so yummy even HUBBY said it was good 😄331 calorie breakfast.. this one is a little more carb heavy than usual but I'm going to try for 3 miles this morning. 😎 have a terrific Tuesday!!Whole wheat English muffin with egg, tomato, half slice reduced fat cheese & turkey polish kielbasa, half an orange & half a cup of blueberries. 358 calorie breakfast to fuel my morning 😊Hazy humid morning at the track. The boys had another big cross country meet late last week. They did amazing and both improved TREMENDOUSLY! my 2nd grader went from 136 to 58th and my 4th grader went from 85 to 43rd and second for his school! I am so proud 🤗 this week is the last race of the season.#mobilechat
Yesterday was the boys' last cross country race for the season. They had never been on this course before, and it was against our rival School. Both the boys improved again. My second grader ended up finishing 13th and beat my fourth grader who was 19th! They both got a ribbon for finishing in the top 20. We are very proud of them for sticking with it and striving to do their best each week. 😄🏅I know I've been MIA lately but with the cooler weather we're very busy! We finally got the chicken coop painted this weekend. The whole family helped & it was a blast! ( ok so some of the paint didnt make it ON the coop 😆) its a strange color but its done!I haven't posted a food photo in a while. Here I'm having some turkey breast, strawberries, apples, and carrots with a drizzle of light ranch dressing. It's taking some getting used to eating gluten free but I'm getting lots of fruits and veggies!320 calorie breakfast. 1 cup fresh strawberries, 1 cup sauteed kale, 2 eggs scrambled with greek yogurt & topped with a sprinkle of italian cheeses. Yummy 😋We're not going out tonight.. it's going to be too cold & hubby & i have a stomach bug. We had fun at the trunk or treat last week tho!My favorite part of my son's costume. Full of veggies & flavor! 😚Today was weigh in and I'm down 2lbs 😊 still have 10 to go but I'll take it. I was craving a salad for breakfast so i made one with baby greens and sliced cucumber, drizzled with EVOO and a little pepperoncini juice. I'm not usually a fan of lunch meat but I bought some roasted chicken breast from the deli and spread hummus and cucumbers and a little of the salad greens on top along with a little more hummus and carrots for dipping. Roughly 300 calories and super yummy!Beautiful frosty sunrise. Going to be a busy, snowy day but moments like this i like to cherish. I waxed my eyebrows (boy did i need it 😅) and painted my fingernails & toenails. I dont do it often so I'm not very good at it but i feel a little better 😊The snow has been falling all day switching to freezing rain & sleet. It's finally SNOWING ❄. We may have a white Christmas after all! Stockings are hung by our electric fireplace 😊. Merry Christmas y'allExtra motivation!! Hubby got me a fitbit charge 2 and a new pair of Bluetooth sport headphones! 😆 I'll be exploring the app & testing it out this week. He says our new year's resolution is to get out basement cleaned up & start using our exercise equipment.. woo hoo! Well it gave us 1/4 inch of ice, stalled out & dropped 6 1/2 inches! Our county is under a state of emergency. The air temp is 3, wind chill -10 So we can't even play in it 😔 ill have my work cut out for me just trying to get steps in today! ☃❄🌨Today's workout: shoveling 4 1/2 beds full of compost, and Hauling roughly 6 five gallon buckets full of gravel. It's starting to look more like a garden than an obstacle course..I hope lol 😋😁Lovely ice accumulation this morning. It even made the gravel in my driveway feel like a solid sheet of ice! Thankfully the roads were fine for the most part. Yesterday I spent 2 hours outside prepping for the storm so that was a heck of a workout. So far I have lost 5 lb of the 10 pounds I gained over the weekend. Thank goodness it was just water weight😌One way to shed some extra weight.. Haircut! No I did not weigh before and after but that could have been interesting LOL every year for my birthday I cut my hair & highlight it. Haven't highlighted it in this photo yet but will do tonight ☺Made heart ❤ shaped pancakes for my kiddos for Valentine's day. My gift to myself will be continuing to eat healthy today & hope hubby knows better than to buy me chocolate 😋😄This morning was spent fishing our van out of a flooded pasture. In the dark its hard to tell where the water is & how deep it is. It got colder than expected & the roads were slick so when hubby hit the brakes, he kept sliding.. Then floated. He had to bust the window out to escape & walk through waist deep water. Please send prayers. I'm very thankful he is ok! But we are really struggling right now & don't need anymore bad luck.We have the frame for my little greenhouse done. I didn't get many steps in today but definitely burned some calories 😊 I'm so excited for it to be done!Finally got the greenhouse done! It fits 4 flats on each side plus 4 shelves in the center 😊 took another 2 hours last night but we did it!So much for spring! Lol we got an unexpected snowfall last night. We ended up with 3 inches at my house. Its pretty but not so fun to drive in 😯**sigh** 😜Or whatever you're wanting to splurge on a little bit 😜Well spring didn't get the memo... meteorologists were predicting 1 to 3 inches of snow. We woke up this morning with 6 inches and expecting another one to two throughout the day! Guess we'll have to take advantage and go sledding!We went sledding & built a significantly sized snowman 😜 my son is 4 ft tall. I was hoping we lived far enough south to avoid this kind of weather, but we made the best of it! ❄⛄I'm pretty tired after today. I babysat my friends 6 year old daughter and 9 year old son. I also have 7&10 year old sons. Needless to say it was a very eventful and active day LOL. I got to experience what it was like to have a daughter with two full makeovers and painted fingernails. 😁 it was fun! My goal is to get down to 130 by my step son's graduation June 1st and down to 125 by my sisters wedding August 18th. Another goal I'm working on is 60 miles walk/run this month. I've got my work cut out for me but I'll set small goals along the way & hopefully keep motivated!Day one down.. My goal is 10k per day & 3 miles.. Hope to reach 60 miles this month 😁Day 2 didn't go so well, but better than I expected. I'm having sciatic pain after shoveling out the coop Monday. I've also been sleep deprived since I had family in town until yesterday. Other stress left me sleeping restlessly last night. Today's numbers probably won't be great either but I'll do my best.I took my fluffy dog to the vet today for her checkup. Turns out she's not fluffy LOL. Looks like I'll have a motivator. We both need to lose some weight. She'll be going back to the vet in 6 weeks to recheck her weight, and liver enzymes because they were elevated today. I'll have to come up with a weight loss plan for her ☺ Hope we have progress and good numbers at her next visit!If this were true I would have an entirely different issue to deal with lol being TOO skinnyIt's finally going to be an almost warm day! Lol it's only 30 degrees right now, but it's supposed to hit almost 60. I'm fueling up with eggs, peppers and onions, with a little goat cheese mixed in. I'm not the biggest fan of the pungent Taste of the goat cheese so I may not be trying this again. Hopefully I'll have a productive day!My "fluffy" dog and I took our first official walk this morning. We're both trying to lose this winter weight. We went three quarters of a mile in 13 min before she started to get tired out. Not too bad for her first time out!Its that time of year! I got stuck behind not one but two of these yesterday on the way to the school, and another one on the way home. I'm very excited to see the weather finally warming up! Though it's pouring rain today, I'm anticipating working on my garden this week 😃So my fluffy dog and I took our second official walk. We did one mile in 18 minutes 28 seconds. It's not the fastest mile ever, but then again it's hard to put in a good time when she loves to stop and smell and pee on everything LOL. She goes back to the vet in 3 weeks so hopefully she'll have lost about 5 lb of the 10 lbs she needs to lose. We are in this weight loss journey together 😃🐶It says : Any time now... The caffeine will kick in any minute..
Today I feel like this.. 😜I'm very proud and excited about my step count yesterday! I was sick over the weekend and I'm falling behind in my goal of reaching 80 miles this month. This is a new hi step count for me! 😀We honestly didn't know if this day would ever come. There's been a lot of struggles throughout the years, and there will be more to come. But for now he can cross this off his list of accomplishments.. he has a DIPLOMA! 😄If you can't tell this is my kids (boys) bathroom lol. Starting out today at 161.6Broke a sweat house cleaning. I thought today would be easier than the past 2 days I've spent doing yard work & mowing.. Not so much lolIts the start of a beautiful day! I have a 30 min workout done! Now I'm enjoying the quiet morning drinking my coffee & watching my chickens clean up the yard & the bunnies play. By far my favorite part of the day! 😊Finally got our greenhouse put up! It was a lot of work clearing the area but I'm super excited to have an area to work & praying for success with a larger garden this year.
