I have been in recovery since 8/26/06. I've learned a lot about myself. I always blamed everyone else for the way my life looked. It was my husband's fault, the kids got in my way, the people at work aren't nice etc. I always thought I was right and everyone did me wrong. Silly of me! I am willing to change...and I have. I had been holding on to anger and resentment for so long it was eating me alive. I even got diagnosed with Rheumatoid arthritis. They don't know what causes RA but it affects your immune system. I know what causes it....stress, anger, resentment. Every day I work hard to let go and let God! I am a work in progress and I thank God for the oppurtunity and the chance to get it right!

You are so right! One of my biggest hurdles in overcoming addiction was my tendency to play the victim - it's so easy and convenient to do that. Congrats on your sobriety!!!

Congrats on making the change! It takes dedication and hard work. You have to acknowledge it before you can change anything and move forward. It sounds like you are on a healthy path, that has a happier light at the end of the road. God bless!

Thanks for the goodie and for your support. Love your blog! It is so true. It is amazing how our lives can change when we change our perspectives. Keep it up! It takes a lot of courage to face life and take responsibility for ourselves but it is truly the best and only way to live in my opinion! Keep it up!

you're going to be okay! you can't go after the weed until you find out where the roots are, and i think you know your "root" now. God will give you all the tools you need to tackle it. you just have to ask Him.
