Trip to the phone Co.

Friday, April 18, 2008

I thought I would share this with all of you my friends. I'm sure there are some of you who can relate to this.

It was a gorgous day yesterday. The temps hit 70. I had to run some errands and go pay my telephone bill. So I set off in my car to pay my bills.

My first stop the phone company. OUr small town is doing street repair on our main street so traffic is parking on all the side streets. Well as I'm pulling up to the phone co. all the spots are taken right out front, so I pull into the parking lot to park.

I get out of my car, I have a dark Blue Pacifica, and I go into the phone Co and chat a minute with the girl behind the counter.
As I'm heading to the door I see all the phone books setting there and wonder if my son and his wife need a phone book. "They should have one I think if not I'll get them one next time."

Sometimes I am so easily distracted from my job at hand I don't know how I get from point A to point B sometimes! LOL

So I'm leaving the phone Co. and as I'm walking out I notice a big white scratch on the bumper of my car!!! OMG!!!!! What hit me the short time I was in there!!!!!! So I bend down and assess the damage. I try to wipe it off but no go!!!!
Then I look up and low and behold remember I parked my car in the parking lot and not out front!!!!!!!!! LMBO I am trying to clean a scratch off of some vehicle thats not even mine!!!! Then to top it all off, it was a van and not even a Pacifica!!!!! But in my defense it was the same color!

So without further ado I walk to my car and leave the parking lot and go to my Sisters as I think I've drove around town enough for one day ( a whole 2 blocks!!! LOL ) and I deserve a cup of coffee and an old fashion donut she bought for me.

So if you see me wondering around your town, could you please help me find my Blue Pacifica????????

That is too funny.....I walked out of a mall one time, and I was trying desperately to open the lock of our car (light blue Toyota Matrix) ... it would not work. I tried again, and still it would not work. Then I went and tried to pull the drivers side door open and it wouldn't work.

I then looked inside (it didn't quite look like ours). I went to the back of the car to look at the license plate....it wasn't....it wasn't our car.

I laughed at myself, and proceeded to go and find our real car.

I loved your story, I once parked in a huge supermarket parking area. I thought I found my own car, and my husband asked me why I was trying to break into someone elses car. I actually got it opened and realised quite suddenly the interior was different. We locked the car again and found our own, I hope no one saw us as I was feeling like a right royal idiot...I blame it on demens light can i join the club of being shown to my car lol...
