A Great Weekend!

It has been a hard week, with motivation low, stress all around, and hot weather with some humidity (we're not used to it here in Arizona) making it hard to exercise.
But Falcao came home from the hospital looking very good, and when I changed his bandage yesterday you could only find the incision by the stitches over it. It really looked good, and was in good spirits.
The quilting retreat I went on this weekend was a good one, and turned out to be healthier than I had anticipated. I ate a lot of fresh fruits and vegs, and although I did indulge in a dessert (mostly a sugar cookie), there were great alternatives to the not-so-healthy foods.
There was also a LOT of exercise opportunities, from walking to horseback to a fitness room, to swimming. It was also a half mile from my room to the quilting room, and there was walking everywhere. Great!
I feel empowered and tired tonight. What a weekend!
