Bootcamp Day !

Friday, August 01, 2008

So far since starting induction again I've lost 3 lbs.... I would be excited, but I know it's probably water weight, and the weight loss is gonna slow down!

However, I'm super excited to be doing the bootcamp... I really need to fit in a workout everyday anyway... and this is a fantastic way for me to make sure I do... I love being accountable to someone other than my DH. Although I love him sooooo much, he sometimes lets me "give in" to my temptations instead of being like.... NO... you can't have that! (which I would like him to be like!)

Next week is my birthday.... I'll be 33.
I made a goal for myself last year before my bday that before I turned 35 I would run in a marathon.
I'll be running in a 5k next spring, and I've decided not to run a full marathon, but to run either a 10k or a 1/2 marathon, and I'll be doing that after my 34th birthday next fall.
And I've decided to do a triathlon that is local here.... the date.... 8/8/2010... So I've got a couple of years to learn how to "ride" a bike... instead of just leisurly strolling along.... emoticon

Swimming has always been easy for me, I swam in HS, and the running thing I'm working on now... so I figure I've got a good 2 years to train with the bike......

I'm also going to start with my weights again. My arms have lost 1.25" since I stopped lifting them.... and I didn't really think they were getting bigger... I guess I was wrong.
I would encourage everyone to measure themselves at least monthly to see how you're doing. The scale IMO isn't as accurate as the tape is! Sometimes the scale doesn't move, but the tape shows lots of lost inches!!!
