First outside run of the year!!! Woohoo!!

The weather was gorgeous today so I did my run outside. I think the temp got into the mid 30's today so other than a little cold wind it wasn't too bad. I'm going to hate going back to the treadmill now, my time is always sooooo much better when I run outside.
I decided yesterday I should probably re read my chi running book. Lately I have been much too tense when I run, I can tell just by how my calves feel. I find it very hard to relax when I run on a treadmill (might have something to do with the fact that I find the treadmill boring and torturous).
I'm going to try to use some of the chi running techniques in TKD too. I am getting way too tense when I do my current form, I need to loosen up a little and I am pretty sure a few of the techniques that he teaches in the book might just work for this.
So far this week I have been sticking to my half marathon training plan pretty good, I changed a few things around but I still managed to get all of my miles in so far. My knee is starting to bother me a little but I don't know if this is from the running or all of the kicking we have been doing in TKD.
"Now if you are going to win any battle you have to do one thing. You have to make the mind run the body. Never let the body tell the mind what to do. The body will always give up. It is always tired in the morning, noon, and night. But the body is never tired if the mind is not tired."
