Starting again. Again.

Monday, March 30, 2009

We are both unemployed... entertaining ourselves by watching lots of free DVDs from the library, cooking and eating.

I lost almost 30 pounds by last November, so that I could feel fit for our amazing trip to Vietnam.

I got back, and never imagined it could be this hard to find a job. I'm lucky to live with my family; I have help with my bills. My dad is paying for COBRA insurance.

It's funny, how disciplined I became using Sparkpeople, and now I am trying to start again... I think I have to re-remember how I did it before.

We did go running this morning. That's a start.
I'm proud of that. Small steps, right?

Oh wow, it's SO great to see you back! I know how hard it can be to re-commit to all of this once you've been away from it for a while. It's hard to get back into that determined mindset you somehow were in before. You can do it though!
I'm doing good - the weight is coming off slowly, but I'm feeling pretty awesome.
And yum! Bread! Have you made the No Knead Bread? http://www.nytimes.com/2006/11/08/d
ining/081mrex.html it's f-ing amazing! If you google it, there's lots of stuff about variations, like making it whole wheat. So, essentially you are saving bread by making bread! Good idea.

    Yep. Small steps.
The fact that you're putting thought toward starting at all is a big step in itself, I think.
