SP, the price is right, but it's expensive too.....

Thursday, May 14, 2009

Hello to all my SP friends,
With my Blog title today, you are probably thinking that I'm crazy. I still can't believe that SP is free. It totally rocks and would be worth twice the price, LOL but 2 X nothing is still nothing.

it's also expensive in one way. It seems that I spend much more on fresh veggies and fruits now than I did before SP. The REAL expense is the other gizmos that I've purchased since starting my journey. I bought the most valuable tool, a pedometer with all the bells and whistles that tells me the distance that I've walked each day for a week, the total number of areobic steps per day if I walk fast enough to record it. The pedometer totally rocks.

Today was another expensive day for me thanks to tracybelle. She had a post on LivingXL and I ordered a heavy duty scale for me to weigh in at my convenience, rather than having to run to one of my doctors offices, which is always a total pain and out of the way most of the time.
Another toy that I recently purchased was stuff for my iPod. I bought the software, and other iPod accessories so I can track and enjoy my walks and hopefully be more encouraging to do more walking and getting more activity in my life.

So, with those purchases, I'm broke, LOL, well until the next gizmo that I find that I "need" or "have to have".

Hope all find ways to stay motivated without breaking the bank!

Stay motivated and remember, it's one day at a time
one step at a time
and of course, one bite at a time.

Have a grrrrrrrreat day,
because any day that we are alive
is a great day!

All very valuable purchases! I am using a WeightWatchers Digital Scale and I love it!

I told my DH the same thing - I am more expensive to keep now that I am thinner, lol.

But he tells me I am definitely worth it - and so are you, my fine friend!

    We're in this together!

    Great purchases!
I agree. I wasted a year on a site I had to pay for and never
used it to the extent as this one.
Glad you're so motivated! This is a wonderful place!

Sounds like you need to save up for a Heart Rate Monitor next... and I assume you've already got a heavily used kitchen scale? emoticon

Keep up the great work! emoticon

Well my friend, i have only been here a little over 2 weeks, and i couldn't agree more!
But all is not lost i seem to have a little extra now that i don't hit the drive thru or the gas station donuts all the time!!
I have a deluxe scale my mom bought me off ebay a few years back that weighs to 600# or something like that, pricey but so worth it!
I am trying to break the habit of weighing everyday though, it's too depressing when i fluctuate up and down so much!
    Keep up the great work!!
