Here we go again...

Friday, May 29, 2009

Gonna try to stay focused again today, as most days lately have been fairly good.

I woke up at 3:00 am this morning with that familiar feeling in my stomach. I knew that it wasn't hunger but I knew that I NEEDED to test my blood sugar. It was a whopping

67

so, the moral of the story for me at least is, usually I eat everything in sight. This morning I did pretty good, I only had cereal, which I seldom eat and I probably ate a little too much because when I tested again at 9:00 am I was up to

250

So, I've taken my medicines and will probably have a hard time trying to wait until lunch to eat again. This is the hardest part of MY BATTLE. I've been doing so well lately and crap like this has to happen. Usually by now, I would have used a half dozen LOL's but nothing is a laughin matter when I get to yo yo'ing like this.

I guess the moral of the rest of the story, NOW I sound like Paul Harvey, LOL, got one in, is that my body is adjusting to the lower calories and I'm probably ready to cut back on some of my insulin. All in all, that is good news, just that I have to eat more than I normally would have just to stay out of a coma.

As the world turns, or another in the Days of my life episode at Tony's blog session is now over.

Hope each of you have a super great day.
It's not raining here in St. Louis, MO so it's gotta be a super great day here, considering the amount of rain that we have had recently.

Keep your powder dry com padres,
See ya next time

Tony, the YO YO, but you already knew that too!

Tony, all I can say (having no experience with diabetes) is that you are so much stronger than most people because you have to be. I get myself all mixed up with what I should eat, when I should eat, how often I should eat, etc. just to lose this weight. You have to do all these things while simultaneously trying to keep yourself out of a coma! I really admire you and people with these "extra" issues for forging ahead and doing what you know you have to do. I hope you get your blood sugar leveled out and have a wonderful, happy weekend!!

Sounds like controlling your blood sugar isn't as easy as "eat something". Wouldn't it be nice if it were? I know you'll get the hang of it. Practice makes perfect.

BTW, I LOVED listening to Paul Harvey. Not just his The Rest of the Story, but his news too. I miss him.

    Have a great weekend!

Cereals are very high in Carbs which I think would react as sugar for you.

You will figure it all out, just give yourself the time you need. Rome wasn't built in a day either.

    You are doing great!

    Hugs,
    Linda
    >**glad you like my new picture! I kind of like the new me, lol.

Thank you for correcting me about the cereal! Not being diabetic, I have no notion of numbers. And I would rather you not go into a coma either! We won't even think of the other word you used.

You will figure things out my buddy, one day at a time. Those sugar swings must be terrible to try to adjust.
