Yesterday I blogged about how I had been slacking. So, here's how life has been since I finished that blog. I stopped typing and grabbed my LAST handful of gourmet popcorn drizzled with chocolate and caramel. I grabbed my workout gear and headed to the gym where I was only able to do 32 minutes on the elliptical before I was kicked out of the gym at 9:55. But I TOTALLY maximized that 32 minutes. I have very fast songs and then I have fast songs on my playlist. I skipped through the fast ones and pushed through my workout as fast as possible. I was drenched and dripping, but worked off 415 calories, according to the machine.

This morning I woke up, checked my spark page, ate a bowl of cereal and logged it right away. Got ready and headed back to the gym where I did the same thing as yesterday - short workout, but power packed. Would have stayed longer, but I am babysitting for a friend's 2 year old today and had to get back. BUT I did get my workout done by 10 am like I said I would. I decided not to make my protein shake today cuz I don't normally eat cereal and I needed to cut back on the calories somehow... so I am eating a piece of lowfat swiss cheese instead. I'll be having a turkey burger with either organic grapes or a pear on the side for lunch - and tracking it all, of course. I also said that I would be checking in with my Biggest Loser Orange Team every day and also doing the daily challenges. Today's challenge was to do an online arm workout - I did one from youtube.com and also one from SP. Next up - shower, lunch, cleaning, laundry, errands.

I honestly feel SO MUCH BETTER today than I have since the day of the 5k. I just got in a really strange slump. My slumps used to last a long time... and usually lead to me falling off the wagon. But I am a different person now and I have found that it really only takes about a day (or in this case, less) for me to get back into a healthy routine. I really feel awesome today. And as if that weren't enough - today I was 2.5 pounds down from yesterday. I guess some of that weight gain really WAS water weight! Now let's see if I can somehow pull of a scale miracle and get BELOW 262 so I can actually have a loss this week!

Thanks everyone, for your support and encouragement. I honestly don't know if I would be on this journey still if it weren't for all of you...

We haven't "met" yet but I joined the NSD team last week. I read your blog today and realized that we can all pull ourselves up by the bootstraps if we believe in ourselves enough. Thanks for sharing.

Sounds like you bounced right back to me. I knew you would.

Have a great day filled with positive choices, like the ones you have already made.

I am so glad to hear your spirits are up again. You have worked so hard and you obviously have enjoyed all the hard work and all the rewards. That is allowing you to bounce back faster. Deep down your body wants you to do this. It feels better being healthy and active, which is obvious from your glowing blog today, just after one that sounded as if you were teatering too close to the edge. Good job on pulling yourself back from the ledge and onto stable ground again! It feels good to be on solid footing again, doesn't it!
