What to do?

Tuesday, August 11, 2009

I am afraid the new dress I bought for the wedding this weekend isnot going to fit or if it does it is going to be tight and look hideous! I have to get back on track. That's all there is to it but I have been having way to much fun this summer! It shouldn't have to be a choice between being happy, having fun and being thin. But for me it is. I love to eat and have fun. What to do???

Stress can hinder weight loss, so if you are stressing about your body or weight, it is a Catch-22!! Maybe you need to buy a little WHITE dress, same style, but summery,,
thin does not equal healthy or happy..
OR you could go back and get those "I Dream of Jeannie" shoes we saw TWICE!! Nobody would even look at the dress if you had those babies on your feet!! emoticon emoticon

Laura, you are not OBESE, and you know if you feel well,, so try the darned thing on, toss some chunky jewelry on, and after a few cocktails, you won't care anyway!! You will also have the next day to do laps in the pool, zip around the perimeter of your property, and gorge on veggies at home!!

It is a wedding that only lasts one day,, now if it was your FUNERAL, then I would go with a larger dress, wanna feel comfy for more than one day, right???? That is what I plan on doing,,, maybe my jammies and robe!! emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon

Also, if it was YOUR wedding, then I would definitely go with a big old sack dress, everybody's eyes are on THE BRIDE!!!
People will want to see you and visit with you and Jim,, not your garments.. you will look beautiful!!

If it's important to you to wear that dress, check into buying some Spanx or some similar product... it may help.
On the topic of being happy or thin and having to choose between the two, you shouldn't have to choose. This may not work for you because I know it doesn't work for everyone, but try to balance out those having fun events with the rest of your week. If I know I have something coming in the week that will have me tempted or giving in to temptation, I plan accordingly... eat really well the rest of the week and bump my exercises up a notch... while it doesn't always make it a zero gain on the scale at the end of the week, I'm certain it keeps it from being a "gasp" moment!
Good luck on the battle between eating good and eating evil and have a wonderful time this weekend at the wedding!

It's a wedding. ?enjoy yourself and ahve a good time.
    Start fresh the next day.
My guess is no weddings are going to serve veggie platters.
    Blessings!
