Exercise Police Needed!

Friday, October 30, 2009

Somebody call nine one one. Somebody is not burning on the dance floor, or anywhere else for that matter. I am a case for the exercise police. I hate the thought of getting all sweaty, getting my hair messed up and feeling my heart pounding! Strength training by myself at home is boring, gym memberships cost money and I would probably find that boring, too.

Now that I am finished whining, I realize that I can shower, my hair was never that great to start with and heart pounding is a good thing. When I walk every day, I have more energy and can consume more calories. As for the gym membership, I am just plain cheap! And why am I so sure it would be boring? First degree laziness. Book 'em Danno!

I find the gym a great place to people watch. But then my husband and I go together so I'm not there alone, which is the part I hate. That's my reason for not going without him. The sweating is a great way to get the uggies out of the body. I know it's gross but yes showers are recommended after.

I find that I feel better when I'm working out and I'm pretty sure I wouldn't be losing if I didn't work out even the small amount that I do.

    Just DO IT!

LOL. That's me. I do like skywatcherrs comment too..excuse police are huge.
I got to that point, then I went on 3 month search for exercise that I found fun. Now I have a work out I don't necessarily dread. So find something you love, that you can be passionate about, that you can even look forward to sometimes. There are lots of things out there, as long as you are moving more, you are on the right track :)

Maybe we all just need an "excuse police" instead - then we'll never get away with putting things off! I could use that one, for sure!
