On The Mend

Friday, December 04, 2009

Well since my last blog I have spent 3 weeks being sick...started with just a cold and then went into the copd flare up. Not a fun time but it does seem like things are finally heading back in the right direction. Seems like it always happens around this time of year and I am usually sick for either Thanksgiving or Christmas.. you know the times of the year when you definitely do not want to be sick.
Any way I just wanted to say that thanks to the Spark website and all the people on here I have managed to not get too far off track..I guess by watching what I had been eating, trying to keep moving, and keeping lots of fluids in me (mostly water) well as a result I really have not gained the weight I usually do from the steroids and that is a definite plus. Now I have not lost any but the not gaining is such a big step for me and one that has taken me a long time to get down.. At any rate I just want to thank everyone for their encouragement, prayers, and uplifting comments.. thank you all.. I hope everyone has a very Merry Christmas.

I'm very glad you're feeling better. I'm really hopeful as my asthma hasn't done anything for over six months now. I'm going to do my darnedest to keep moving and eating properly and get some more weight off, etc. as I know all that will definitely help.

One of things we copd'ers have to deal with. But I'm glad you're on the mend.

Wrap up warm with hat, scarf and gloves whenever you have to go out. Hurry, not to fast, and come back...... emoticon emoticon
