motivation where are you!?!?

i. do. not. want. to. exercise.

i don't want to walk. i don't want to work out with my jillian michaels dvd. i DEFINITELY don't want to go to the gym.

where the heck is my motivation lately?? nothing and i mean NOTHING is getting me moving. even my fall back motivation of walking to the closest bookstore and rewarding myself with purchase when i get there is not helping. i even have a $5 off coupon!!! : (

and i can't blame the weather...i LOOOOOVE snow! i love being outside when it's snowing and the cold doesn't bother me all that much. i even love shoveling the driveway. maybe i should go do that. does that count as exercise?? gahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.

    It will come back. Sometimes you have to force yourself when you are in a slump like that, believe me-been there. Meanwhile, do other things as well that make you feel good-hot bubble bath, shopping, reading a good book, sitting in a sauna, steam bath, watch a chick-flick, etc. Take your mind off what you DON'T want to do and focus on other things (except for over-eating of course!!!)

    i just got back inside from shovelling! it only took me 8 minutes but that's 8 minutes more exercise than i was going to do! and it's still snowing so i'm sure i'll be outside again fairly soon. in case you're wondering, 8 minutes of shoveling snow burns 55 calories.

    Shovelling snow definitely counts. I know the only time I have done it it wore me out! emoticon
