Camper show

Sunday, February 14, 2010

Today hubby and I went to the camper show downtown Mpls with friends. We try to attend every year, its a good day to get a lot of exercise. Walking around in the convertion center is A LOT OF STEPS, and also a lot of steps into and out of each camper you check out. I finally gave up counting how many campers we checked out. We go not only for the exercise but are somewhat interested in possible buying one to do some traveling, at least its a pipe dream, that gets us out and about and exercise to boot. We also ate supper out downtown tonight, that involved another walk, through the skyway system to get to the resturaunt. We came back here for birthday cake, ice cream and coffee. Hubbys birthday is this coming Wednesday, but he's going to Orlando tomorrow for his job the next two weeks, so celebrated tonight. Lucky me, his company is sending me down this coming Saturday for the week( this is the company he is retiring from in a couple months--needed for him to go so desperately they sprung for mwe to go the second week, I think this is very nice of them. I plan to exercise in the gym in the hotel, bring reading material and some knitting, that should keep me busy along with some walking.

If you have never traveled by motorhome and want to try it before you buy there is a place in Spring Lake Park or Blaine, near Northtown Mall, that rents them out. They are not cheap, they cost about the same as a moderately priced hotel but that is a whole lot cheaper than buying a motorhome and realizing that you don't care for it! Have fun in Orlando, you can always walk your legs off at Disney or Universal studios!

How fun that you get to go to FL with your husband. (Jealous!!!...)
Camper show sounds like a lot of fun also. Makes you want to travel, doesn't it?
I also like open houses :-)
