Old dog, new trick...

Wednesday, March 10, 2010

I know that we are suppose to treat ourselves and I try to do this everyday in one way or another....you know...time for a game on the computer, a nap, sitting outside enjoying "quiet time" and nature....those kinds of things. BUT, today, I actually was adventuous and went out on a limb with a "special just for me" treat!! I went and had a friend do my hair! Talk about a "spa day"!!! It was wonderful for both of us!!! She did my hair, I did hers and we both enjoyed "girl time". I didn't even do this when I was a teenager!!!!

There were no kids, husbands or phone calls....okay, she got one call and her fedex delivery person stopped for a delivery but, hey,....life is NOT perfect!!hahaha Anyway, we really, really enjoyed our time of just socializing with no commitments or interruptions. Now, we feel better about ourselves and even younger for the "spa" day.

Who says that you can't teach an old dog a new trick??!! hahaha emoticon

Good for you! You deserve it and how fun that sounds! I used to have a friend that I did this with, or I would go over and spend the night and we would watch movies all night. what fun.

Oh I wish some of you were close enough that I could do this you! I really don't have any close friends anymore since I moved here to Northern Alabama when I got married.

I am so glad you took sometime for yourself. Sadly we sometimes forget to put ourselves first. It sounds like you had a fabulous day. "Spa Days" can be so much fun.
