A veterinarian technician has been arrested in connection with Courage's case. You may recall, this dog ate dirt and rocks to survive. At the bottom of the article, there's a very touching video of his recovery to date. He still is not out of the woods because his organs may yet fail. Please keep Courage in your prayers.

Please consider donating food to hungry humans and animals when you reach your fitness goals. Thank you.

Thank you for having a caring heart. Prayers that he recovers and give back some of the love that has been shown him. -- Lou

If I lived in California, I would apply to adopt Courage. What a great story and shame on that Vet Tech who did not take care of him.

I am going to be following this story. My heart has been lifted up by this beautiful dog named Courage.

    Awesome post. Thanks so much!

I don't understand how anyone could do this, let alone someone who works with animals and (theoretically, at least) has some sense of caring for them. I can understand people who don't care about animals: I cannot understand people who actively neglect or try to harm or hurt animals. Or people, when it comes to that. What demons would drive a person to make them want to hurt someone else? Very distressing.

You have a wonderful heart for those who are hurting whether human or animal. That's a really wonderful trait. I cannot stand to see any animal in pain or mistreated. I have a dog and 2 Katrina cats and don't know what I would do without them.
    God bless,
