BLC 13 - The Beginning

I joined the biggest loser for two main reasons: accountability, and companionship. SP is a big place, and without small groups of people, it really feels like you may as well be typing to no one. I have been away from SP for so long because of my real-life fitness buddies that most of the ones I had before are no longer active on the site. I have previously participated in a BLC put on by the 20 somethings group and really thoroughly enjoyed the small team atmosphere where everyone actually knows something about you.

I hope to also get some accountability out of the program. Last summer I did continue to track and lose weight for about half of it, but I was living on campus in a dorm so I didn't really get to eat out much. This summer, however, is starting with a four day vacation at Disney and will continue to have long stints in Tampa, so I really need the extra motivation to keep on my best behavior and not slip back into some of the habits that got me here in the first place.

This summer (12 weeks) I plan on losing 20 pounds. I know I will have a few big hurdles, like this vacation, so it will be no cake walk to get to my goal, but I know that I can do it if I work hard enough. And there's a great reward for me at the end of the tunnel: a BMI under 30!!!
