Life plays some interesting games with us sometimes, huh.

Yesterday was expensive. We took the dog to the vet just to have his ear looked at--he has a mild yeast infection-- which cost over $200. Hm. Then last night, I'm not sure how I ended up with the check, but I got the privelege of paying for dinner and drinks for four. Another $100... phew! LOL

I was a bit unhappy at first, with that last... but after thinking about it, I came to realize that it really is a privelege to be able to do something like that now and then. To treat people as the important creatures they are... to show my appreciation for the roles they play in my life.

It doesn't take money for that, but money is nice! LOL

I'm being a little careful now though. It didn't take long to get through $20K, and with the rest, there's enough left to add to the return on my investments to just barely get the rest of my plans set in motion... and I'm enjoying myself tremendously.

I have down moments. It hasn't been an easy year so far... but it's good to be alive, and I am SO grateful for every minute!

I'm wondering if you are planning a kidney transplant and have set aside the money for that? One of our locals here in Oregon had to pay $8,000 for his.
