Two steps forward, one step back

So yesterday I not only got to my weekly yoga class in the morning, but I also took my baby to the zoo and walked and walked and walked... and walked... always pushing a stroller or carrying a baby. I think I got more exercise yesterday than I've gotten in the last month all together. *And* I did it while visiting with family, adding a rare social outing to boot.

Thank goodness, for today I didn't get anything in, not even a brief walk at lunch. Hopefully tomorrow lunchtime I can get out a bit, even a few blocks makes me feel like I'm doing something. I miss having the sun shining when I get home from work, I was taking the babe to the park much of the summer then; now it's too cold and dark. I need to come up with an indoor alternative that I can stick to.

My goal, simple though it may be, is to do at least one thing every day that is really taking care of my body. Even if it's just a hot bath (which I'm about to take now), it gets me inside my body and away from all the tasks for a while. Starting small, and enjoying the baby steps...

    Good for you for getting in the exercise on Sunday! The zoo is a great place to do it, cuz our LO's get to have lots of fun too :)
