No work!

Thursday, December 02, 2010

Snow visited our town last night & it means I can't go to work. Infact I could go to work as it's only 10min walk away BUT the council have shut all schools for Health & Safety reasons so I'm home with my sons! We don't usually get much snow here (apart from earlier this year). It's pretty but I hope it doesn't last too long. In the garden it's 8in but many of you probably have lots more than that.

Spent the morning cleaning/tidying & doing the ironing (don't like ironing but it needed to be done). Have just made a pot of veggie soup and got fresh bread baking now!

My house is fairly cold anyway due to minimal heating but with the oven on, it's cosy. Hope to have a quiet afternoon and might even sit down & watch a dvd?!

Had to cancel 2 important appointments today (including dr) but never mind.

How is the weather with you? It's still snowing but lighter now. temperature dropping but currently on -3c.

Enjoy your day. HUGSxxx

You are good making your own bread. I hope it turns out well. I made some last week and it came out like a stone, very heavy. The soup sounds good, just the thing for this weather. I wouldn't worry about the Drs appointment in this weather. It was bright and sunny when I went out to feed the birds first thing, but its clouded over again and I think we will get more snow. Its very disruptive as we are not used to it here. Lots of people are walking to the shops instead of taking the car which is a good thing, but I am sorry all the schools are closed which makes it difficult for you. They say it will warm up next week, so that will be good. Keep warm and keep sparking.

Lovely to get your update. Your soup and bread sound just the job.

We've ground to a halt up north. It's very pretty but not very convenient. We're all good neighbours so we're looking out for each other, which is nice.

Hope you can rearrange your dr's appointment.

    Take care.

How appropriate that I sent you a snowman goodie! LOL!! We have had only about 2 inches here but it is still early for us! We usually don't get a lot of snow as snow swerves above us due to the winds (or something like that!). A pot of veggie soup and fresh bread sounds wonderful and I can smell it from here! Send some to me!!

I'm sorry you missed your Dr. appt. I hope you can reschedule soon. Remember, I love you as a sister, Julie, and still pray that you are surrounded by angels with your big strong guardian angel by your side. I hope that you will take the time to watch a DVD today and make that a priority! You deserve some "me time!" for once!!!!

I wish I lived close and could spoil you!!!

    Love, your sister in Christ,
    Amy
