One Sunny Winter Morning
Monday, January 10, 2011
We had "snow showers" briefly yesterday, and today it's like it never happened. The sun is shining, the sky is blue, and the air is a crisp cold burn in the throat. The grass is even green! LOL A good day.
There are a lot of activities planned for today. I need to clean the cat litter box and trim my dog's nails (see me getting off the floor? A good "America's Funniest Videos" entry! LOL) Then there's the pile of boxes I haven't unpacked that need to be moved. DH will have to do the bulk, but I can empty a few and get rid of them... He doesn't really want any of the stuff we've collected together, so I'm in charge of disposal. I've always hated the sorting and tossing kind of thing--all those decisions! LOL--but this time I'm actually kind of enjoying it! Go figure.
Guess it's the idea of REALLY starting over.
The moving part needs to be done today. I have to make the room, because there is a CD shop consolidating with another store and they've given us some of their shelves, delivering them tonight. They'll be perfect for my paperbacks--some of the boxes getting moved are FULL of them! LOL Even if the apartment is only for six months, I want it to feel like MY HOME, not the hotel! LOL
I feel energetic right now, and optimistic that I can accomplish at least SOME of my ambitious plans LOL
It's been a challenge since the surgery in May, and I'm still having issues but today for the first time, it feels about as normal as things can get with fibro and lupus etc. Due, I'm sure, to the positive influences around me. I can't tell you how much I have appreciated the support and encouragement from everyone on SP. I'm so grateful...
Life is truly a gift, and it's GOOD!
