Back to 'Normal'

The doctor didn't order ADDITIONAL tests, no... just the ones before the prescription, showed my kidney functions as follows: my GFR is down by 3points but the creatinine hasn't changed in 2 yrs and it's still stable-- he's very conscious of the kidney disease and that's why he immediately took me off the stuff, especially the minute he heard of the blurry vision. That apparently really spooked him! Usually when I call with a question, it can be 48 hours before I get a reply... quicker than a lot of places, but I wasn't expecting a call back in about an hour and a half... he didn't want me to take even one more!... I've been off it now for only a day and I already feel SO much better!...just sleeping a lot. Part of the healing process, is my guess.

I do have to step up the diet program. I kind of had some 'slips' with the nausea etc this last week: you know how it is when you don't feel well, you sort of just eat what you can, even if it isn't the healthiest stuff... plus all those months on the 'hotel regimen'... I KNOW I can do so much better. I HAVE to:

I don't like the changes in the GFR, it WILL affect my other readings eventually and I don't want that at all.

As to fun stuff...

Yesterday I finished ADRs for that movie I was in... it was fun, but that drive was hard. It's only about forty miles one way, but I was falling asleep at the wheel(?!) --so I stopped along the way for a few 10 minute catnaps. It worked, I did fine. Just that it's been a long time since I've had to do that--LOL emoticon

So glad that your doctor acted so quickly. Praying that all continues to improve. WAY TO GO on stopping and taking naps along the way. Allow your body the necessary time it needs to recuperate.
    Love, hugs and prayers,

glad you are ok and as the days go on my friend your body will continue to 'dump' the residuals for sure it won't take long but the body 'sleeps' when it's doing the damage control my endo expects me to sleep tomorrow but on the ohter hand he's making sure nothing at all untoward happens while it is being done..so he is sitting the personal assistant there for the day i knew i loved this doc but never realized how highly he felt about me he says he will be up at lunch and his wife will be up at dinner (she's a pediatric endo) as this is not the usual treatment but since nothing else is working you have to step out of the box and it will give him fodder for the next article he writes and will give him another way to treat malignant lows..and he says reasidents may be wandering through during the day and many will ask me the same questions over and over and to be patient..and they will sit down in calss and decide if this will be something that works (assuming it works lol) do i mind being a guinea pig so to speak..no as i feel really bad already and the 100 percent coverage is more because i had the TIA in november and am deaf than anything and besides he says i am his 'star' patient having controlled both the diabetes and the kidney disease but still i am scared so i will be off proably for a few days
    love and hugs
