My 1st Blog Ever!

Hello SparkPeople!

This is my first Blog EVER!!
I've been the type of person that sits back and reads blogs on the internet, but never write.
However, after reading so many encouraging blogs in Spark People, I now feel like stepping out into the world of blogging!


My goals for my first week in SparkPeople is :

1. Learn how to navigate in SparkPeople.

2. Start journaling again...and stick with it.
Journaling is something that would help me lose weight. In the past, I often became inconsistent with journaling and thats when I would stop paying attention to what I was doing and regained old habits of unhealthy eating and little exercise.

3. Get back into juicing and making smoothies once a day.
With my background of poor eating habits, the best way "for me" to get my fruits and veggies in is to juice or make smoothies. I eat salads and other veggies, but not enough to meet my quota of 8 fruits and veggies per day.


So, there it is folks..... my first Blog.
I'm looking to rock and roll to meet my goals!

    Enjoyed your 1st blog ! emoticon I just got a juicer 2 weeks ago and have used it a few times. It does help in meeting my goal of eating more fruit & veggies. Do you have any favorites you usually make ?

    Congratulations on your first blog! Once you blog a couple times, you'll find yourself wanting to blog more often. I find writing what I'm thinking and feeling helps me -- not sure if it helps others though. LOL

    Welcome- you are off to a good start. It took me a lot longer to get the courage to do a blog. There are a lot of amazing things on this site that you will continue to discover as time goes on. I find that tracking the food makes such a difference. It is easy enough to do once you get the hang of it, and sometimes it is surprising to see what calories are often going in your mouth. And as a pleasant surprise there are days where I think I ate a lot, only to find I still have a few more calories to add to hit them mark! Good luck.

    emoticon ........Nice blog + great plans = a great start to progress. Don’t' forget to use the food grouping tab it makes logging meals so easy, especially if you get weekly menu’s going...

    Congrats on making not only your first blog but some solid decisions toward a healthier you too! I was scared to blog at first also. I was on Spark people for months before I ever wrote my first one. Now it's my goal to do one a week. I actually use it as my journal for this weightloss journey and the things that I am learning and doing. I wish you much success keep up the good work! emoticon
