March 1st - Reflections of the Journey Ahead

I'm actually looking forward to this month. Its odd because usually March is not my favorite month. You know how some months you like better than others?? Well March for me was always just ok LOL. No particular reason most likely other than the anticipation of spring. Its still a bit too cold sometimes to get the garden going but warm enough that its a muddy mess outside.

See this is the easy part for me with my exercise/healthy lifestyle journey. I like this part. I like the part of setting goals and finally deciding to change for the better. I like the feeling I get from knowing I'm making healthier choices.

What is the hard part for me is when I start to hit a few road blocks. I'll do great for a month or two and then just slowly stop doing what I'm doing. I guess that high of motivation wears off and I'm left with some progress but not enough progress to make me want to keep going.

That is exactly what I want to stop. That is the pattern I need to quit. I hope all my friends on here will be there to help me with that and offer words of wisdom when that times . I've quit too many times to count and I just can't go there again. I need to learn how to deal with the emotions of the blahs and not wanting to continue.

A few other things I want to get done in the next week or so is my vision collage and setting a list of goals to work towards. By goals at this point I'm mostly meaning a fun reward list to work towards.
