Guns & Wings

Sorry to disappoint, but this is just a workout blog! I'm getting ready to hit the road for a visit home to my family and friends. Oh, on the count down, I would be at T-minus 1! And even though I did not 'get there' in my weight goal, I am two pounds from 'there'. I am not at all disappointed. I feel amazing! My body is smaller, tighter, and stronger than ever before.

I need to take some bikini pics and post them this week. Here are some of my favorite comments I received this week:

"Mom, you look amazing"
"You look fit and strong"
"Wow, you look you have lost a ton of weight since last semester" (nope only 4 lbs. lighter)
"Mom, you are the most beautiful woman in any of the pictures you took this weekend"
"We would like to feature your story in EatCleanDiet.com"

There are a couple more, but they were from my hubby and I cherish them too much to share here. Suffice it to say, I am indeed a blessed girl.

Last Nights Combined Upper Body Workout
Push & Pull + Guns & Wings

Lat Pulls 2 x 12 x 85#
Dual Pulley Row 2 x 12 x 75#
Standing Cable Back Flys 2 x 12 x 15#
Lateral & Front Delt Raises 2 x 12 x 8#
Shoulder Rotations 2 x 12 x 8 small circle, 2 x 12 x 8 large circle (then reverse the circle of rotation and repeat)
Free Motion Cable Chest Press 2 x 15 x 40#
Standing Military Press 2 x 12 x 30BB (need to heavy up a little)
Incline Push ups 2 x 12
Low Bar Pull Ups 2 x 15
Incline Bench Press 2 x 12 x 40BB
21's 2 x 12 x 30BB
Tricep Dips 2 x 12

Had some trouble finding the right weight with the BB. 30 was too light, 40 was hard to complete the set. I felt really strong and well rested going into this workout and am pleased with my efforts. I had a couple days off from my regular workout schedule due to travel. The rest seems to have done me good!

I will be taking some pictures this week while I am on the road. I will be meeting a friend to go for a run and helping a few friends get started with some strength training and clean eating. Let me know what your week looks like and what you are doing for your strength training routine!

Be blessed! Be YOU!
