Visualization Collages are done!!

Friday, March 11, 2011

Yesterday I finished my first visualization collage. I'm really happy with the results and I ended up making 2. Eventually when I get enough pictures together I want to make one more for my outside garage exercise area.

So my first one here is my overall motivational and I plan on keeping it in my bedroom so I see it every morning when I wake up.

For that one I found some really great stuff in some magazines I had around.

I really like Wonder Woman but she actually isn't my favorite Woman Super Hero. Red Sonja will always take that top spot but if you ever look up pictures of her...um wow. I was trying to make something I wouldn't mind my kids looking at LOL. It wasn't even that easy finding good pictures of Wonder Woman. I like Linda Carter but she was more of a skinny Wonder Woman and I wanted a more fit one (and not a completely half naked one). I mean what is up with the people that draw these characters?? Hee hee.

So my other collage I just finished this morning. I wanted one in my kitchen to keep me focused there in the way of Nutrition and eating well.

There was a ton of great stuff in this old Nutrition magazine I had made from the Oxygen team. I focused on a few things with this. The first was my top section on the left where I have a few things about ending emotional eating and a little blurb on how to handle cravings. On the bottom left I even have a little chart about portion sizes and how to compare them to household objects.

My favorite part though -

The top is about my "game plan" and things like - get motivated, eat right, lose fat, get fit, embrace change. Then off to the left I have "What does food mean to you?" and I have listed to the sides and below what it does mean. I think this will be very helpful for me. So many times I loose the fact of the point of food being FUEL. It doesn't need to help me celebrate or help me feel better when I don't feel good.

So I can't wait to go clear off a space on my fridge for the nutritional one and find a good home for the Motivational one so I see it every day in the morning!
